Boys and Girls Club preps for November fundraiser

Cypress Boys and Girls Club

November may seem a long time from now, but not to Juli Humphreys and Shelly Bailey at the Boys and Girls Club of Cypress.

Juli is in charge of overall planning for the Club’s big fundraiser, a dinner and auction that this year will be held on Friday, November 4, at the Los Alamitos Race Track.

Shelly is in charge of the auction, a huge part of the event.

The money the Club raises at the annual dinner and auction will help keep the kids they oversee on track for success in school and in life — and ensure that no child is turned away because his family can’t afford to pay the Club’s fees.

The Club was founded by local Cypress residents over thirty years ago. It’s open after school and all day during the summer. It provides mentoring, educational enrichment and a wide variety of activities that develop academic success, good character and citizenship and a healthy lifestyle.

Families choose the Club because it offers a high-quality program at a low cost. Kids love the Club because they feel welcomed, valued, included, encouraged and celebrated.

Juli and Shelly are looking for donations, either items for the auction or cash.

Also available are ads in the event program in three sizes: business card for $25; half page for $50; and full page for $100.

Tickets to the event are $65 per person.

For more information, call 714-527-2697 or visit the Club’s website.

The Club’s tax ID number is 95-2920990.
