The City of Los Alamitos, the California National Guard and the Cancer Support Foundation are happy to invite you to participate in the Southland Credit Union 31st Annual Los Alamitos Race on the Base to be held on Saturday, February 25, 2012. Join approximately 6,000 participants, spectators and volunteers and enjoy music, the Vendor Expo, military aircraft displays, and the Family Fun Zone. The race is held on the runways at the Joint Forces Training Base in Los Alamitos and features helicopters, planes and military vehicles with music throughout the course. Events include the traditional 5K Run, 10K Run, 5K Walk (timed), 10K In-Line Skate/Wheelchair, Mission: 1K Kids Run, Jr. Reverse Triathlon, and the very popular Reverse Triathlon! All proceeds will benefit the USA Water Polo National Aquatic Center at the Joint Forces Training Base. The 5K Walk is co-hosted by the Cancer Support Foundation and a portion of the proceeds generated from the 5K Walk race registration is donated to the organization.
