September 29, 2011

DISTURBANCE (Family) – 9:20 a.m. – Chamois Ci. – Mom is outside the residence freaking out. She doesn’t live at the location and is pounding on the windows. Caller states she has been physically violent with him in the past. Caller rents a room at the residence. No other family members at the residence. Subject is leaving now. Verbal disturbance only.

MISDEMEANOR ASSAULT – 1:52 p.m. – Undisclosed Location – Incident occurred yesterday at the library learning resource center at 4:25 p.m. Male subject hugged and kissed her. Reporting party counseled.

September 30, 2011

PETTY THEFT REPORT – 9:32 a.m. – Lincoln Ave. – Caller’s husband took the caller’s wallet with ID and social security card last night while the caller was gone. The caller was kicked out last night by the husband and when she returned this morning he was gone and so was her wallet. Theft unfounded; disturbance between husband and wife. Both parties counseled.

PETTY THEFT – 3:15 p.m. – Valley View – Two juveniles entered the business and concealed two packages of boxers in a backpack. They were contained by loss prevention when they exited and were detained. Property valued at $48 and juveniles were released to guardians. Arrested.

October 1, 2011

COUNSELING – 2:39 p.m. – Bloomfield – Second hand info to caller – Subject’s housekeeper was being harassed at her residence. Counseled. Caller has been having issues with the neighbor over a barking dog. On 9/30/11, neighbor made indirect, ambiguous threats regarding the victim’s house. No report desired. Requests extra patrol checks throughout the night.

DRUNK IN PUBLIC – 7:19 p.m. – Katella Ave. – Contact reporting party regarding a drunk in public subject who is refusing to leave. Subject is very uncooperative. Guards are with the subject. One subject detained. Cab requested. No crime. Assisted security with removing the subject and obtaining a cab ride home. Matter solved.

October 2, 2011

COUNSELING – 11:36 a.m. – Gay – Caller’s roommate has been gone since Thursday afternoon and has been at his ex-girlfriend’s home, possibly somewhere in Long Beach. Caller thinks he is being held against his will by his ex-girlfriend. She has a violent history. Caller spoke with his roommate this morning. He is with his girlfriend who is the mother of his child. Caller says he feared he was being held against his will because he told him “I can’t leave cause she’ll go nuts.” Counseled. Spoke to roommate via phone at 2:30 p.m. No further assistance needed with his girlfriend and child. He will contact the reporting party. Reporting party notified as well.

WELFARE CHECK – 12:21 p.m. – Larwin Ave. – Caller heard a small child screaming for the past 20 minutes – male adult also heard yelling. It was determined that a 4-year-old child threw a tantrum because he didn’t want to leave his “rolli-pollies” at the park.

October 3, 2011

DEFRAUD INNKEEP – 11:51 p.m. – Chip Ave. – Caller is a taxi driver and the fare is refusing to pay for the ride – loss is $45.20. Caller made a verbal deal with a family member of the subject to pay her debt at a later time. He did not wish to file a report. Matter solved.

MALICIOUS MISCHIEF TO A VEHICLE – 10:55 p.m. – Valley View – Reporting party’s boyfriend’s vehicle was vandalized on Saturday 10/11/11. Unknown subject tampered with oil filter and put water in the reporting party’s gas tank. Requesting extra patrol checks regarding possible suspect – subject possibly stalking reporting party, who is in the process of getting a restraining order. Report taken.

October 4, 2011

FOLLOW UP INVESTIGATION – 11:08 a.m. – Orange Ave. – Burglary to the cafeteria outdoor freezer. Point of entry is freezer door via lock cut. Incident occurred between 9/30/11 at 2:30 p.m. And 10/3/11 at 10:00 a.m. Loss is cases of pizza and cookie dough valued at $130.39 total loss. No suspect information. Report taken.

COUNSELING – 1:10 p.m. – Katella Ave. – Caller’s wife and their 2 year old son have been missing since last Wednesday 9/28. She told the caller she was going to the laundromat and she is 5 months pregnant. Caller’s brother then received a text that she is not returning. Caller is concerned for his son and visiting his son. Female subject won’t contact the caller and let him know where they are at. Caller believes she kidnapped the child as in Mexico. Counseled. Mother and child safe in Los Angeles. Log item issued for custody dispute.

October 5, 2011

COUNSELING – 11:00 a.m. – La Salle – Subject got a letter from the FBI that Bank of Nigeria is attempting to send him one million dollars and now the FBI is investigating. Counseled.

HOMELESS CAMP – 2:47 p.m. – Crescent/Acacia – Caller states there is a homeless camp at the flood control channel east of Coyote Creek south of Crescent and to the rear of property on Centralia in Lakewood. Caller is adamant that the flood control channel is in our city and wants the subjects advised. Caller is the property manager for the property on Centralia and is not on scene. She wants a phone call regarding the same if the subjects cannot be located. Per the Cypress Police Department Map Book 1995, this area in question is in LA County. Unit has personal knowledge of this area from previous arrest and contacts. Contacted the caller and advised her of the same. She will write a letter to Cypress.
