Cypress School Trustees approve acceptance of donations

Cypress School District headquarters

At its regular meeting on Thursday, Oct. 13, the Board of Trustees for Cypress School District approved the acceptance of the following gifts as part of its consent calendar:

  • miscellaneous school supplies, including glue, folers, colored pencils, erasers, pencils, markers, rulers and pens, from La Palma Kiwanis to Luther School
  • five cases of copy paper from Brian Nakamura (a district trustee) to Luther School
  • $705.38 from Target Take Charge of Education to Landell School
  • $6.93 from Vons to Vessels School
  • $162.89 from Target Take Charge of Education to Vessels School
  • $390 from Boeing to Vessels School
  • $315.64 from Ralphs/Kroger Community Donation Programs to Luther School
  • $1.50 from eScrip Safeway BAck to Schools Program to Luther School
  • $483.27 from Target Take Charge of Education to Luther School

Consent items are considered routine. They are grouped together to be approved by a single motion, unless a member of the board requests that an item be pulled for individual discussion and action.
