The construction fence around McDonalds on Katella Avenue just east of Los Alamitos has come down.
A count-down banner across the front says that the restaurant will re-open next week.
A walkway between the restaurant’s west parking lot and the neighboring office building allows foot traffic. Pedestrians walking from south of the restaurant will not be forced to use either the alley or The Boulevard sidewalk.
Cars entering the west driveway will have to drive around the rear of the building to enter the drive-through pattern from the east side at the front of the building. Stopped cars in the drive-through are now separated from the west-side parking lot. The drive-through menu and communication station is on the south side of the building.
The new architectural style of the restaurant reduces the iconic golden arches to a single golden eyebrow above the name, plus a stylized yellow M on the building and the street sign.
