Nobody anywhere in Orange County Breeze Country can say truthfully that the reason they haven’t donated a new unwrapped toy to Toys for Tots is that there is no nearby donation box.
Yesterday, we learned that Cowboy Dan’s Jerky Emporium is proudly supporting Toys for Tots. Dan has a collection box at the front of his fine establishment at 4218 Katella Avenue in Los Alamitos.
That’s at the corner of Katella and Noel, right next door to Subway, a short amble west of Edible Arrangements and a pistol shot this side of the new location for OC Mattresses — where gardeners are installing new landscaping.
Mrs. Dan says that patrons of the Emporium can also donate points amassed through purchases towards the Toys for Tots donation drive.
Golliwogs! What could be finer than buying a wagonload of yak, buffalo or ostrich jerky while supporting Toys for Tots?
And to make things even easier, Dan has decreed holiday hours:
10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Saturday
11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday

Check out that display behind Dan, hand-built by Dan himself. Wow!
