Former California State Assemblyman Van Tran has thrown his support behind Republican businessman and former Congressman Steve Kuykendall for the newly created 47th Congressional District.
“We need principled, independent candidates who can make the decisions needed to put our country back on track to economic prosperity and fiscal accountability,” said former California State Assemblyman Van Tran. “Steve Kuykendall has the experience and is clearly the best candidate to do just that.”
“As a former State Assemblyman and Congressman Steve Kuykendall championed balanced budgets, eliminated government waste and worked to reduce taxes — exactly the kind of leadership we need in Congress to help get us back on track and creating jobs again,” continued Tran.
Steve Kuykendall is a former Marine Corps Captain, a businessman, and a former member of the California State Assembly and Congress. He and his wife Jan have three grown children and reside in the city of Long Beach.
