The following eyewitness report by a Rossmoor resident was passed along to us from the Rossmoor Predator Management Team.
I just spotted an adult coyote on the 3300 block of Quail Run. It was running westbound on Quail Run and stopped at a tree. It turned around and ran east on the street, I yelled very loud and it took off. Please remind residents to put all their holiday trash from Thanksgiving in bags and place them in the trash carts.
I deal with animal control issues for a nearby city. Residents should not leave their animals outside tomorrow. If they have company over for Thanksgiving, they should put pets in another room of the house. Otherwise, their loved pet may become a coyote’s dinner.
