Former Long Beach Mayor Eunice Sato has thrown her support behind Republican candidate Steve Kuykendall for Congress for the newly created 47th Congressional District.
“Steve Kuykendall proudly represented Long Beach residents in the State Assembly, where he secured funding for local police and community improvements — and worked to balance the state budget without tax increases,” said former Long Beach Mayor Eunice Sato.
“We need Steve’s strong leadership in Congress where he’ll work to balance the federal budget, eliminate government waste, keep our country safe and revitalize our economy,” continued Sato.
“I’m honored and proud to have Mayor Sato’s support,” said Kuykendall. “Eunice has spent a lifetime giving to the Long Beach community, our state, and nation. She cares deeply for Long Beach as I do,” Kuykendall added.
Steve Kuykendall is a former Marine Corps Captain, a businessman, and a former member of the California State Assembly (representing the city of Long Beach) and Congress. He and his wife Jan have three grown children and reside in the city of Long Beach.
