Orange County Breeze community calendar

All the staff members of Orange County Breeze Newspaper LLC offer a great big thank you to two of our readers for their suggestions on how to make our online newspaper better.

Our first reader suggested that we create and publish a community calendar to make it easier for our readers to see what events are coming up.

Beginning in Jan. 2012, we did just that.

You can get your event listed on the calendar by emailing the details to calendar@oc-breeze.com.

Thank you for the suggestion!

After we stood up that community calendar, another reader suggested that we include a direct link to the calendar in our daily feed, sent out to subscribers every single morning.

Our web gnome scurried to add the link that same day, and the link has been included in the daily feed ever since.

Thank you for the suggestion!

(Want to become a subscriber? Look in the righthand sidebar for a section labeled OC Breeze by Email. Enter your email address in the box and click the Subscribe now! button. Our web gnome will send you an email to confirm your subscription. Follow the instructions in that email, and you’ll be all signed up and begin receiving the daily feed the following morning. You can unsubscribe at any time.)

Do you have a suggestion on how we make Orange County Breeze better? Email your suggestion to me. I’ll see that our web gnome gets cracking right away!

A screen capture of the home page of Orange County Breeze showing the community calendar tab. Unfortunately, it shares the label “calendar” with another home page tab below it, which displays a feed of all articles with the tag “calendar.” We’re still working on fixing that.
