Assembly candidate Harper collects endorsements from Huntington Beach councilmen

Small businessman, Republican candidate for Assembly, Matthew Harper announced receiving the endorsements of three Huntington Beach City Councilmen in his campaign to represent the newly-drawn 72nd Assembly District today. Huntington Beach Mayor Don Hansen, Mayor Pro Tem Devin Dwyer and Councilman Joe Carchio all endorse Harper for Assembly.

“He’s just on top of the issues, he knows our city and he knows everything about this region,” said Mayor Don Hansen. “There couldn’t be a better candidate for the district, and I’m 100% behind him every step of the way.”

Harper adds the Huntington Beach City Council members to a list of endorsements that already includes Orange County Supervisors Pat Bates and Shawn Nelson, as well as Sheriff Sandra Hutchens. An extended list of endorsements can be viewed at www.HarperForAssembly.com.

Harper is a small business owner, city councilman, and has a long history of working for conservative causes including serving as a member of the County Republican Central Committee. He posseses a Bachelor of Science degree in Public Policy Management from the University of Southern California.

The new 72nd district includes all or parts of Huntington Beach, Seal Beach, Los Alamitos, Fountain Valley, Westminster, Garden Grove, Rossmoor, Sunset Beach, Santa Ana and Midway City.
