At the Los Alamitos-Seal Beach Rotary Club’s regular breakfast meeting at Preveza restaurant on Wednesday, January 18, Los Alamitos High School student Rebecca Haseltine was recognized for being selected the club’s January Student of the Month. Rebecca’s parents were in attendance as Rotary President Patricia Eskenazi presented her with a $100 check.

Also in attendance was R.O.P. instructor Brad Wilson, a retired deputy chief from the Long Beach Fire Department who teaches Intro to Fire Technology. He nominated Rebecca for the Rotary honor. He described the high school senior as “a leader who gets things done.”

Rebecca, interested in pursuing a fire career, is a member of the Long Beach Search and Rescue, a public safety explorer program.

Preveza Mediterranean Kouzina is located at 10931 Los Alamitos Blvd. in Los Alamitos, just north of the intersection with Katella Ave.
