Avoid Katella road construction west of Los Alamitos Blvd.

Road construction to rebuild the median on Katella Ave. at Chestnut St. began on Monday, Feb. 6. A lane is lost in each direction to provide work room for the construction crew.

Traffic backs up quickly on both sides of Katella Ave.

Los Alamitos Blvd. through traffic gets tangled up with traffic trying to turn west onto Katella. One of the left-turn lanes for northbound Los Alamitos has been closed because of the lane closure on westbound Katella.

Avoid that stretch of Katella if at all possible until the median work is complete towards the end of March.
