SUSPICIOUS PERSON – 10:57 a.m. – 4100 block of Myra Ave. - Male subject was seen taking pictures of a residence on Myra – on foot walking towards Bloomfield now – has been seen in the area the past week but he is unknown to the caller. Out with a possible subject. Subject lives on Beaver Cir. Took pictures of ducks in the flood control channel. Unit looked at pictures to confirm. Checks okay.
PETTY THEFT – 5:16 p.m. – 10200 block of Valley View – Subject in custody in the security office. Subject took mascara that was subsequently recovered. Caller believes subject also attempted to take miscellaneous jewelry. Arrested male subject for petty theft. Unit out with a second related subject detained in the women’s department. Second subject arrested for three outstanding warrants.

TRAFFIC STOP – 9:04 p.m. – Ball/Juanita – Tow truck requested. Driver cited for registration fraud. Vehicle expired as of December 2010. Vehicle impounded and false tab removed from the vehicle.
SUSPICIOUS OCCUPIED VEHICLE – 11:13 p.m. – 5000 block of Evergreen Ave. - Male subject was walking along the side of a house. When he saw the caller, he turned around and got into a blue two-door vehicle and is now just sitting there. One subject detained. Subject was picking flowers for his girlfriend. Subject on probation and search checks. Subject’s driver’s license suspended and he was advised not to drive. Vehicle lawfully parked and secured at the scene. Party advised and will comply.

DISTURBANCE (Subjects) – 12:16 a.m. – 5700 block of Orange Ave. - Towards the east side of the park near the picnic tables, a group of 3-4 subjects in a verbal disturbance. Unit reports juveniles leaving the area. Checking the residential tract. Unit out with occupied vehicle. Parties counseled and minor drugs destroyed at the scene.
MISSING JUVENILE – 5:45 p.m. – 9800 block of Valley View – Caller’s daughter, last seen yesterday morning, attends Cypress High School, however it is unknown if she even made it there. Unit contacted the missing juvenile by telephone. Subject said she was okay and at a friend’s and doesn’t want to go home because she is upset with parents not letting her do anything. No report desired at this time. Counseled.

SUSPICIOUS SUBJECTS – 7:42 a.m. – 10600 block of Tammy – Two male subjects just dropped off a burgundy Honda Accord. Subjects left in a dark blue older Nissan. The Honda was left parked on Tammy blocking a driveway. Subjects took the battery out of the Honda and air tanks and put them in the truck and drove off. Possibly an unreported stolen vehicle. Attempting to contact the registered owner. Per Station 32 (Garden Grove), the suspect vehicle was just involved in a traffic collision into a residence in their jurisdiction and they are unable to locate the driver. They have the battery and a catalytic converter in the truck. Per Station 18 (Sheriff-Coroner) they are out on the 12400 block of Georgian St. in Stanton taking a stolen vehicle report. The blue Nissan was followed by the father of the caller on Tammy. The truck is possibly an unreported stolen vehicle and filled with stolen property. Per sheriff’s deputy, clear to tow the vehicle and the vehicle doesn’t need to be held for prints or evidence. Tow truck requested. Report taken.
FOUND CHILD – 2:33 p.m. – 9200 block of Valley View – Meet with the caller at the Walgreens regarding a found child. Caller has had him for the hour and still unable to locate the parents. Unit requesting campus security and Station 23 (Buena Park) be contacted regarding missing child. Parents possibly swap meet vendors and attempting to locate. Contact with college security. Parents located in the southeast corner of the swap meet parking lot. Report taken.

SUSPICIOUS PERSON – 3:11 p.m. – 9200 block of Valley View – Male was taking pictures of the caller in the restroom… by the humanities building now. Male subject wearing all black hopped the fence to Papa’s Auto Service. Subject still has the camera with him. Caller lost observation. For clarification, male crawled under the bathroom stall door and was taking pictures of her. Message delivered to campus security. Papa’s confronted the subject, who then jumped back over the wall to the college in the southeast portion of the parking lot. Report taken.
SUSPICIOUS CIRCUMSTANCES – 6:55 p.m. – 9900 block of Holder – Caller is waiting in her vehicle to the front of the location – states she just got home and her 15-year-old saw a shadow in their residence and heard noises. They are not expecting anyone. Caller has not checked her residence – front is currently closed but unlocked. Son only saw a shadow and banging. Nothing else seen. Clearing the residence. Residence checks okay. Possibly the wind.

WELFARE CHECK – 3:43 a.m. – 9200 block of Valley View – Caller located a male subject who appears confused and lost. The subject states he fell asleep at home in Mission Viejo and woke up at Cypress College. Contacting the subject’s brother by phone to pick up at the bus stop at Lakeshore and Valley View.
EXTRA PATROL CHECK – 7:47 p.m. – 10300 block of Aurelia Ave. - Approximately 8 male juveniles with a shovel were digging up the caller’s neighbor’s garden in the front yard – subjects are out of the area now. Caller requests extra patrol checks throughout the night for any suspicious activity. Unit requesting routine response. Waiting for kids to be picked up. Found Property report taken. All kids counseled and returned to their parents.

PROWLER – 6:17 a.m. – 5400 block of Nelson – Subject in the yard trying to get into the residence. Subject made eye contact with the caller and is showing the caller a woman’s bra under his shirt. Male is now asking the caller to open the door. He is turning the door knob. Subject is in the backyard. Subject is still in the yard, just standing there, nothing in his hands. Subject is pacing back and forth and seems to be getting angry. Unit has one at gunpoint. Subject detained. Subject released to medical staff on undisclosed hold. Report taken.
SUSPICIOUS PERSON – 12:59 p.m. – 5200 block of Oxford Dr. - Second hand information – Caller reports that a resident at the location keeps exiting his residence wearing a see-though tutu when he thinks no one else is watching him. The caller is concerned he’s doing it because students from Oxford School are on recess. Checks okay, no activity at the residence.

UNKNOWN TROUBLE – 9:49 a.m. – Via Encinas – Female screaming she needs help. Unit en route with lights and siren. 42-year-old son beating up father. Caller hysterical, trying to get further. Negative on paramedics. Second unit responding with lights and siren. Son is in the garage now and other parties inside the residence. Unit reports garage door is still down. Requesting third unit to the front door. Unknown if the subject is still at the location. Caller now advises the subject is in his bedroom. Unit requests to have the female respond to the front door – the officer is just out of view. The subjects are creating a disturbance again. Second unit out with the subject at the front door. Subject arrested for assault with a deadly weapon.
PETTY THEFT – 6:09 p.m. – 10200 block of Valley View – Female being uncooperative outside the store. Female heard fighting with security. Unit en route with lights and siren. Female heard saying “I can shoot” and the line disconnected. Security was on a cell phone and disconnected. Calling back inside of the store. Two additional units en route with lights and sirens. Security back on line. Male heard “Get your hands up”. Requesting CSI. Positive ID on the subject. Female subject arrested for petty theft.
