February 10, 2012

FOUND PROPERTY – 2:41 p.m. – 3900 block of Toland Cr. - Caller found a bike behind his trash cans against his fence. Report taken.
MUNICIPAL CODE VIOLATION – 3:18 p.m. – 4600 block of Lampson Ave. - Third hand information: subjects flying model airplanes. Subjects were found to be in possession of model aircraft. Unit did not observe any models flying. Party advised and will comply.

February 11, 2012

DISTURBANCE (Juvenile) – 7:03 p.m. – 3100 block of Lilly Ave. - Two juveniles threw rocks at the caller and were yelling obscenities in the backyard. Last seen going northbound into the flood control channel. Unit unable to locate the subjects who were gone on arrival.
PATROL CHECK – 10:20 p.m. – 3500 block of Cerritos Ave. - Caller observed four subjects throw something over the fence off of Los Alamitos Blvd and then they hopped the fence, too. Unit out with two subjects. Subjects were found to be kids playing a game of “Fugitive” and were sent on their way. Party advised and will comply.

February 12, 2012

RECKLESS DRIVER – 3:35 a.m. – Katella/Lexington – Vehicle went the wrong way and ran over the median on the westbound side, facing eastbound. Female driver is out and walking around. Unit out with the vehicle at Katella and Ticonderoga. Unit conducting field sobriety tests. Subject arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
MUNICIPAL CODE VIOLATION – 6:35 a.m. – 11000 block of Los Alamitos Blvd. - Complaint of vacuuming noise to the rear of the business. Party advised and will comply.

February 13, 2012

SUSPICIOUS OCCUPIED VEHICLE – 1:03 p.m. – 10000 block of Reagan St. - Older silver four-door sedan occupied by a white male subject has been at the location for thirty minutes. The subject is smoking, talking on the phone, looking around in a nervous manner. The caller thinks he is possibly casing. The subject was found to be eating lunch.
TRAFFIC HAZARD – 5:58 p.m. – Katella/Wallingsford – Road sign that has been blown into the lanes is causing a traffic hazard in the westbound lanes of Katella. Signs moved, matter solved.

February 14, 2012

KEEP THE PEACE – 5:56 p.m. – Reagan/Green – Uncooperative registered owner preventing the caller from towing the vehicle. Second caller on the phone stating the same – caller is saying they are towing his car illegally. The subject paid the drop fee and the vehicle was released.
TRAFFIC HAZARD – 6:07 p.m. – Bloomfield/Ball – Large amount of glass in the intersection, possibly from an earlier traffic accident on Bloomfield north of Ball. Tow truck needed for cleanup… blocking westbound left-hand turn land and northbound number two lane. Advised.

ILLEGAL PEDDLER – 3:59 p.m. – Denwood/Kelly – Three male subjects last seen eastbound Denwood. Out with two at Maple and Farquhar. Out with another subject and a vehicle. One subject arrested for an outstanding warrant from the Long Beach Police Department. The remaining subjects were advised and released.
COUNSELING – 4:54 p.m. – 11000 block of Lexington Dr. - At the security office, regarding a female wanting to file a report regarding her “being followed”. No further details on circumstances. No crime determined. Counseled.

February 16, 2012

SUSPICIOUS OCCUPIED VEHICLE – 5:13 p.m. – 3700 block of Vista de Ora – Black Acura occupied by two male juvenile subjects possibly doing drugs. Driver has a hoodie over his head. Subjects were seen with a plastic bag and putting it up to their faces. Subjects look like they’re moving their heads to the beat of the music, bouncing up and down. Unit performing vehicle search. One subject released to his father. Second subject cited for contributing to the delinquency of a minor and possession of marijuana. Vehicle left legally parked and subject released to a sober/responsible driver.
TRAFFIC HAZARD – 6:51 p.m. – 605 Fwy/Katella – Male subject in a wheelchair trying to cross the freeway entrance and was almost hit by a vehicle. Second hand information to the caller from a family member in the area. Wheelchair in the center median. Subject seems to be stuck. Unit out with the subject. Units will escort… message delivered to family.
