JFTB, Seal Beach Lions, clothing donation

A contingent of Seal Beach Lions was met with open arms by Cara Borm, director of family support services at the Veterans Center on Los Alamitos Joint Forces Training Base.

On Tuesday, April 10, the Lions delivered much-needed adult and children’s clothing for handing on to families of reserve and active duty service members in need.

Lion Matti Kline led the project to collect clothing. Along with Lion Les Shobe, she is on the committee planning the 2012 Wings, Wheels, Rotors and Expo. (Vendor booths, exhibitor spaces and sponsorships now available!)

After delivering the clothing, everyone ate lunch on the patio at Fiddler’s Green.

Many other members of the Seal Beach Lions Club supported the clothing drive, but were unable to take part in the delivery.
