May 3, 2012

ASSIST OUTSIDE AGENCY – 1:14 a.m. – 5800 block of Lincoln Ave. - Station 40 (Fountain Valley) requesting a unit to check the area for a 920A subject or his vehicle. The subject told his wife that he was making a purchase at the location at approximately 8:00 p.m., but his bank statement shows he made a purchase at approximately 3:00 p.m. Unable to locate.
HIT AND RUN – 7:38 a.m. – 8700 block of Moody – Incident just occurred. Subject vehicle is a black SUV with a female driver and a passenger in the front seat. Victim vehicle is a blue van in the school parking lot. Suspect vehicle should have driver side front end damage. Log item issued . No damage to caller’s vehicle. Unable to confirm a crime.

UNKNOWN TROUBLE – 2:19 p.m. – 10500 block of Knott Ave. - Customer is stealing soda. Subject asked for a water cup and filled it with soda twice. Subject was advised to pay for soda and subject stated he did not have money to pay for it. Matter solved. Subject paid for the drink.
COUNSELING – 6:45 p.m. – 5400 block of Katella Ave. – Regarding a traffic accident that did not occur, caller is standing by in his vehicle. Caller claims that he did not hit the other vehicle but the other vehicle insists that the caller did. The other party took the caller’s license plate number and the caller is concerned he will file a hit and run report.

VEHICLE BURGLARY – 7:02 a.m. – 5900 block of Corporate Dr. - Loss includes military duffel bag that contained a helmet, tools, uniform items, and suitcase that contained clothing items. Report taken.
FOOT PATROL – 9:20 a.m. – 9200 block of Valley View – One subject at gunpoint in the southeast corner of College Circle. Subject gave a false name. Requesting blood tech to the station. Subject in custody for warrant for trespassing and being under the influence of a controlled substance. Stolen property returned to the victim. Approximately $300.00 of property still outstanding.

May 6, 2012

DISTURBANCE – 3:22 a.m. – 6200 block of Lincoln Ave. - Female asked the manager to call the police regarding a male subject with whom she was having problems being at the location. The female has been drinking heavily and the other party is not at the location. Verbal disturbance only.
MEDICAL AID – 8:29 p.m. – Bataan - Caller requesting medics for her 32-year-old daughter who has burns on her lips. Now she states she believes she smoked something and then started running around the house and not acting herself. Caller states her daughter was smoking medical marijuana, but now she thinks it’s something else. Caller states she saw the subject with a knife in her boot, but no weapons seen today. Per the caller, the subject has been talking about terrorists and not making sense. Caller believes she’s been smoking this new substance for about a week instead of her medical marijuana. Female gone on arrival, units checking the area for her. Assisted.

COUNTERFEIT CURRENCY – 4:07 p.m. – 11300 block of Cuttyhunk Ct. - Caller sold a TV on Craigslist and the money he received was fake. Loss is a $200 TV. Report taken.
FIRE – 7:59 p.m. – 4000 block of Ball Rd. - Subject making a small fire in the parking lot near the curb. OCFA en route. 451 is unfounded. Transient checks okay. Incident unfounded.

May 8, 2012

PETTY THEFT REPORT – 12:54 p.m. – 5900 block of Orangewood Ave. - Loss of newly planted tree from the northeast corner of the park. Approximate value is $270. Also, a vandalism report for a park bench that was cut with the same saw the unknown suspect(s) used on the tree. Caller requesting extra patrol checks.
TRAFFIC HAZARD – 8:38 p.m. – Belle/St. Stephen – Juveniles put caution tape all across the entire street on Belle. The caution tape was removed prior to officer’s arrival. Per a neighbor, he believes kids are responsible, however he did not see anyone put the tape across the street.

PETTY THEFT REPORT – 2:40 p.m. – 4300 block of Orange Ave. - Incident occurred over several days. Loss is a total of $100. Cash went missing from the cash box at school. The caller started marking the bills and a student was detained with the marked cash in his wallet. Report taken.
PETTY THEFT REPORT – 4:14 p.m. – 4000 block of Myra Ave. – Caller’s granddaughter’s bike was stolen from the front of the residence. The helmet was found to the rear of the residence in the ravine. Report taken.

May 10, 2012

BATTERY – 8:38 p.m. – 5200 block of Lincoln Ave. - 13 year old caller states that she was kicked out by her mom because she forgot to do the laundry. Caller states mom also punched her in the back, but medics declined. Caller states she is fearful that her mom might beat her up because she called the police. Unit has contact. Battery unfounded. Child returned to parent. Counseled regarding discipline.
COUNSELING – 10:01 p.m. – 6000 block of Lime Ave. – Caller receiving threats from his ex-wife. Caller states his ex-wife’s boyfriend said he “messed with the wrong guy” and is currently in jail. Spoke with the ex-wife, who was counseled and advised of verbal disturbance. Caller was provided with custody and restraining order information.
