May 11, 2012

BURGLARY REPORT – 7:20 a.m. – 4800 block of Linaro Dr. – Incident occurred overnight. Point of entry was an open side door to the garage. Subjects stole the caller’s purse from the home, then they ransacked the caller’s vehicle that was in the garage. Suspect is already using the caller’s credit cards. Report taken.
B&P VIOLATION – 7:02 p.m. – 5800 block of Newman – Seven high school aged juveniles wearing backpacks were asked to leave by security for underaged drinking. now on foot towards Valley View. Juveniles were drinking beer and still possibly have them in their backpacks. Out with the subjects at Karen/Nancy. Citation issued.

DISTURBANCE (Subject) – 12:21 a.m. – 4000 block of Bryant Ct. - Caller states his neighbors are using some kind of device to shock his dog to make it stop barking. Counseled.
OPEN DOOR – 11:05 p.m. – 9300 block of Somerset Ln. – Caller came home to find her front door open. She has not gone inside. It was determined that the homeowner forgot to lock her doors.

WELFARE CHECK – 3:35 p.m. – Myra/Ball - Male juvenile just walked by the caller’s residence and then on to Ball. No parent in sight. Out with a child at the Taco Bell in Station 23’s area (Buena Park). Mother at the location. Following mother and child back to grandparents’ residence. Child counseled about running away. Grandparents also counseled.
TRANSIENT – 6:24 p.m. – 4000 block of Ball Rd. - Subject inside the store was using the bathroom to shower and was using the air freshener to spray himself. Party advised and will comply.

COUNSELING – 3:49 p.m. – 5200 block of Orange Ave. - Regarding underage female who received a tattoo from a unknown male subject in Cypress. Counseled.
DISTURBANCE (Juvenile) – 4:12 p.m. – 5500 block of Karen Ave. – Several subjects dressed in costumes holding some type of signs. One subject is make obscene gestures to a stuffed animal that he is holding. Caller advises that there are at least five subjects, one subject making gestures to passing vehicles. Checks okay.

May 15, 2012

COUNTERFEIT CHECKS REPORT – 10:10 a.m. – 4523 Larwin Ave. - Caller is receiving false checks from an unknown company that states he won some type of money in the amount of $10,000. Unable to substantiate a crime at this time.
CITIZEN ASSIST – 12:32 p.m. – 10200 block of Beaver Ct. - Two pit bulls in the garage fighting. Male teen was screaming. Second hand to OCFA. OCFA will have Animal Control en route. Male told OCFA there was a large amount of blood. Male cursing into the phone states dogs fighting in the garage, then went into a series of rants about Al Qaeda and injuries the dispatcher will be subjected to. Animal Control has three officers on the way. Station 10 has also been getting the calls from the extremely uncooperative male. The caller is not injured and one dog has been bitten. Thirty marijuana plants located. Dogs being taken to Animal Control. Marijuana plants are in compliance with medical marijuana statutes.

PETTY THEFT REPORT – 10:05 a.m. – 6900 block of Molokai Dr. – A laptop valued at $1,100 was taken from the residence last Thursday, unknown suspect. Laptop was located in the family room under a box of video game controllers, probably moved by the grandson.
ASSAULT – 12:08 p.m. – 9000 block of Bloomfield - The caller’s brother hit him in the jaw. Medics declined. Subjects were arguing over The Jerry Springer Show. Mutual combat. Counseled.

May 17, 2012

SUSPICIOUS CIRCUMSTANCES – 7:47 a.m. – 10300 block of Lorraine Ln. - The caller hears noises up in her rafters. She thought she heard footsteps. The caller has heard noises above the garage for the past six months. She thought it was an animal but lately it sounded like footsteps. The caller moved in six months ago and has never checked up there. The caller hears the noise now. The caller is usually at work at this time.The caller was counseled on seeking an exterminator to check the house for possible raccoon or opossum that may be causing the noise.
