Oxford Academy to offer summer enrichment program

Oxford Academy in Cypress is nationally ranked among the top ten high schools.

The Oxford Academy Foundation is proud to announce Oxford Summer Academy this summer.

This summer, that same nationally-ranked facility, staff and administration are available for a summer enrichment program — Oxford Summer Academy — open to all students who are weree in sixth through twelfth grade during the 2011-2012 school year.

The program will hold three daily sessions:

  • Session 1 – 8:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m.
  • Session 2 – 10:15 a.m. – 12:15 p.m.
  • Session 3 – 12:45 p.m. – 2:45 p.m.

The cost for a single student attending one session is $300.

Tuition for a single student attending two sessions is $500.

Attendance for a single student attending all three daily sessions is $700.

(A class that helps students get a jump on applying to college this coming fall costs $200.)

Class subjects cover math, science and English:

  • algebra (two levels)
  • trigonometry
  • geometry
  • pre-calculus
  • honors biology
  • forensics
  • AP biology
  • introduction to careers in science
  • writing skills
  • “reading” movies

Students may be enrolled either online or through the Oxford Academy administrative office on campus at 5172 Orange Ave. in Cypress.
