May 25, 2012

SUSPICIOUS VEHICLE – 1:04 a.m. – Undisclosed location – Attempt to contact the registered owner regarding an unlocked and open vehicle door. Contacted the vehicle owner who was unconcerned about unlocked/unsecured vehicle with possible valuables inside. Counseled. Vehicle not secured by owner.
COUNSELING – 3:34 p.m. – 10000 block of Bloomfield St. - Contact the reporter and daughter in the lobby. The subject stole a timer from her teacher. The timer has been returned but the mother wants counseling from an officer.

May 26, 2012

SUSPICIOUS PERSON – 7:01 p.m. – 5000 block of Katella Ave. - Female subject keeps dropping her pants in front of people in the parking lot. Female lives two doors down on the left from the caller’s residence. Subject advised.
SUSPICIOUS PERSON – 9:20 p.m. – Ball/Flood Control Channel – Vehicle parked on Kaylor, caller believes the occupants are the same suspects involved in graffiti. Conducting field sobriety tests. One subject arrested for DUI. Tow truck requested. Subject released to sober father.

May 27, 2012

INCIDENT REPORT – 12:29 p.m. – Farquhar/Los Alamitos - Meet the reporting party at the fire station on Green. The fire truck struck a mirror while passing another vehicle. Incident report needed for documentation.
FOUND PROPERTY – 3:49 p.m. – 3500 block of Farquhar Ave. – Illegal drugs fell out of a television that the caller bought off Craigslist. Drugs kept for destruction. Report taken.

May 28, 2012

SUSPICIOUS VEHICLE – 9:28 a.m. – 5200 block of Katella Ave. – The caller found what looks to be a stripped vehicle. The battery is missing from the vehicle. Requesting Long Beach Police Department attempt to contact the registered owner. The vehicle was usually parked at the location, but it appears that the gas tank, seat, and battery were stolen.
TRAFFIC HAZARD – 10:06 p.m. – Katella/Cherry - An older hatchback type vehicle is in the northbound turn lane with a door open and hazard lights on. Paramedics requested. Subject having problems with vertigo. Subject transported home by his daughter. Vehicle towed at the owner’s request.

May 29, 2012

PETTY THEFT – 2:38 a.m. – 10000 block of Los Alamitos Blvd. - Employee advising that a subject stole some sandwiches and left out the front. The subject told the caller he was going to take the sandwiches right before he took them and left. Unit out with the subject. Subject arrested for burglary.
COUNSELING – 10:58 p.m. – 12000 block of Reagan St. - The caller’s 12 year old daughter is receiving suspicious messages from an unknown male. The caller’s daughter feels scared and intimidated. Ongoing issue with the daughter going on chat rooms, talking with strangers, and giving out her number. Mother has been in touch with the Orange County task force about the issue and stated she would contact them for further investigation. Counseled.

May 30, 2012

BATTERY REPORT – 11:10 a.m. – 3500 block of Cerritos Ave. – Fight on the campus earlier and parents of the victim wanting a battery report. Both parties detained in the caller’s office. No medics needed. Parents en route to the location. Fight between three girls. Report taken.
SUSPICIOUS VEHICLE – 2:08 p.m. – 12000 block of Paseo Bonita - Caller owns the residence, but it is vacant and for sale. The neighbor called the reporting party and told him there is a gray truck in the driveway and per the caller no one should be there. The caller does have a contractor working on the residence, but says he drives a white truck and it should not be him. Officer out with a male subject. The caller is unaware of the subject. Subject booked for prowling. Vehicle towed.

May 31, 2012

MUNICIPAL CODE VIOLATION – 11:56 a.m. – Farquhar/Los Alamitos - Subjects selling bubble machines and blowing bubbles into traffic. Unable to locate.
PATROL CHECK – 4:43 p.m. – 4000 block of Farquhar Ave. – Female subject in a wheelchair last seen near the bathroom. Subject had a dog with her not on a leash and she was playing ball with it. The caller asked her to put it on a leash and she promptly told him to F off. Unknown if the subject is leaving or not, but the caller asked to patrol check for her. Unable to locate the female or her furry companion.
