May 31, 2012

BEES – 4:24 p.m. – 10300 block of Angela Ave. - Thousands of bees swarming around the base of a light pole in front of the caller’s residence. The caller’s daughter is allergic to bees. Unit requesting Public Works for bee removal on the city lamp post. Matter solved.
DISTURBANCE (Family) – 8:08 p.m. – 8800 block of Moody St. - Male and female; female heard accusing the male half of assaulting her and the male half heard calling her a liar. Units have contact with the subjects. Male subject arrested for domestic battery.

June 1, 2012

POLICE INFORMATION – 3:03 p.m. – 4400 block of Lincoln Ave. – Caller is assisting the family with a vigil tonight and is concerned that the sister of the deceased may show up and become violent. The subject blames the wife for her brother’s death. The caller was advised to call 911 if any problems occur.
DISTURBANCE (Family) – 7:40 p.m. – 5100 block of Cerritos Ave. - Male versus female. The female has a restraining order against the male. Male on foot now towards the Los Alamitos Race Track. Male took the female’s phone forcefully from her so she couldn’t call the police. Officer needs urgent assistance. Units en route. Subject in custody. Subject arrested for court order violation and resisting arrest.

June 2, 2012

TRAFFIC STOP – 1:11 a.m. – Knott/La Palma – Field sobriety tests check okay and the driver released. During the FSTs, the subject’s vehicle’s battery died. Tow truck requested for jump start. Vehicle back running. Subject warned/advised.
GRAND THEFT REPORT – 2:04 p.m. – 9800 block of Balboa Wy. - 2 ½ year old English bulldog went missing around 8:30 a.m. While the caller was putting up fliers, a passerby told him she observed a subject put the dog in his vehicle at the carwash on Valley View and Ball. The caller and the car wash manager pulled up the surveillance video and the subject is visible putting the dog in his vehicle. The caller has been checking for the dog being turned in to Animal Control hourly. No report desired at this time. The caller will wait to see if someone reports his dog as found. If not by Monday, he will request a report be taken regarding possible theft. Unable to prove theft at this time.

June 2, 2012

HEALTH & SAFETY VIOLATION – 5:29 a.m. – 4500 block of Blanca Dr. - Marijuana growing in the caller’s father’s backyard. The caller believes it belongs to his nephew, who is out walking his dog. No cime. The caller will call back when the nephew comes home.
PATROL CHECK – 7:55 p.m. – 5600 block of Lincoln Ave. – Subject watching pornography in his room with the shades open and is naked and possibly masturbating. Party advised and will comply. The windows were closed.

June 3, 2012

COUNSELING – 8:35 a.m. – 5600 block of Newman - Regarding a male that the caller believes is stalking her. The male parks his car by the caller’s vehicle and waits for her to get into her car and leave. No crime. No stalking. The caller was confused about the other half who is her neighbor. She described normal everyday activities and she was counseled that the police do not take reports on crimes that have yet to happen.
ROBBERY REPORT – 4:05 p.m. – 6300 block of Orange Ave. - Incident occurred fifteen minutes ago at Valley View and Orange. Victim is 13 years old and the suspect is also a juvenile. Loss is a bike. Suspect had a lighter and threatened to “shank” the victim and light him on fire. The caller’s father en route. Robber report taken. Loss is a $250 fixed gear racing bike, by force or fear. Possible leads.

June 4, 2012

COUNSELING – 10:51 a.m. – 6800 block of Jonathan Ave. - Regarding the caller’s boyfriend swapping their laptops and not returning the caller’s. Crime occurred in San Antonio, Texas. Advised to call there if a report is desired. Counseled.
PETTY THEFT – 4:59 p.m. – 5400 block of Katella Ave. - Loss prevention is requesting assistance. Blue Dodge Caravan exiting on Katella. Female suspect detained outside the store. The van left five minutes ago, westbound on Katella, driven by a male suspect. Female half going to the security office with loss prevention. Katella checks from Lexington to Studebaker. Unable to locate the van at the address for the female. Van located at Howard west of Noel. The van is unoccupied. Petty theft confirmed. Loss is a lobster. Incident closed by arrest.

June 5, 2012

COUNSELING – 11:02 a.m. – 10000 block of St. Francis Ci. - Regarding a suspicious email, claiming a Russian assassin is going to kill her unless she gives him more money. Counseled.
KEEP THE PEACE – 5:01 p.m. – Ball/Walker - In front of the shoe repair store, a verbal disturbance with the employee who is refusing to give the caller her money back. Counseled.

June 6, 2012

ASSIST OUTSIDE AGENCY – 8:12 p.m. – 5300 block of La Luna - Meet in the north lot of the school regarding a family disturbance on La Luna. Station 37 (La Palma) called back to request two units to assist. One unit to meet on La Luna, the other to respond to the north parking lot of the high school to watch for the subject possible jumping houses. K-9 unit assisting with a parole search. Located minor amount of drugs.
SUSPICIOUS PERSON – 9:56 p.m. – 5600 block of Lincoln Ave. - Male subject throwing things around in the parking lot, acting “wigged out”. Out with the subject. Subject in custody. Paramedics requested to the jail. Subject arrested for counterfeiting and possession of burglary tools.
