Gretchen Shegina, was teaching 5th Grade at Jefferson Elementary School when I attended school there, in 1977. It is because of Ms. Shegina that I found my love of math and of learning; she encouraged me and made me believe I was very smart. Since then I have taken many math classes and knew that there was not a problem I could not solve. Bless you Gretchen Shegina, for the most wonderful gift you can give to a child; to believe in myself and to feel as though I could accomplish any thing I set my mind to.
Today, I am a doctor of chiropractic, a life-long learner and teacher.
I congratulate you, Ms. Shegina, and wish you well on the next phase of your journey.
Looking forward to hearing about your meeting with Dr. Jane Goodall!
Sincerly,
Dr. Carole S. Keisteadt, D.C.
