June 15, 2012

SUSPICIOUS PERSON – 11:21 a.m. – 4700 block of Corsica Dr. - A few minutes ago a subject came to the caller’s door and asked if she wanted her air conditioning checked. She denied him and he left but he continues going door to door while his partner sits in a vehicle nearby. The subjects check; they were doing business for a customer. They were warned regarding soliciting.
TRAFFIC COLLISION – 11:37 a.m. – Orange/Walker - A white Honda hit a parked postal truck. The postal employee confirmed that there are no injuries. Unit stopping northbound traffic. Tow truck requested. A replacement mail truck en route to pick up the mail from the truck. Northbound traffic reopened. Non-injury traffic accident report taken. Minor damage to a city tree. Both vehicles were towed.

June 16, 2012

BATTERY – 1:38 p.m. – 5000 block of Ball Rd. - The caller was chasing juveniles who he thought were involved in the vandalism to his business last night and confronted one of them who assaulted him with a chair. Both were in a handicapped scooter and fled in the alley towards Moody, but unknown for sure. The caller was told by an officer earlier today that he should take pictures of the suspects if he saw them. The victim is bleeding but refused medics. Report taken.
COUNSELING – 6:16 p.m. – 9400 block of Valley View - The juvenile subject is a ward of the court and living with the caller. Due to numerous rule violations, the caller contacted the social worker to request they take the female out of the house. Per the caller, the county worker told her to call the police to possibly transport the juvenile to Orangewood. The caller has legal guardianship of the juvenile and is in the process of having her removed. The juvenile is misbehaving, however there is no crime. Counseled on police criteria to transport to Orangewood.

June 17, 2012

SUSPICIOUS CIRCUMSTANCES – 12:30 a.m. – 8600 block of Watson – Loud noises coming from the center of the park, near the hockey rink. The caller thinks someone might be breaking into one of the sheds. Subjects foot bail on the north side, possibly malicious mischief. Six subjects detained. All subjects cited.
WELFARE CHECK – 6:11 p.m. – 9700 block of Spruce Ct. - The male subject who lives at the location fell in a restaurant, refused medics, and was driven home by a stranger (OCFA’s reporting party). The reporting party then felt uncomfortable just leaving the male at his residence by himself and called OCFA. OCFA requesting a welfare check and advise if they are needed. Subject declining medics. The subject states he’s not injured.

June 18, 2012

COUNSELING – 9:42 p.m. – 6900 block of Anticost Wy. - Known suspect hacked into the caller’s email account and is sending harassing messages to the caller’s family members. Counseled.
PATROL CHECK – 2:05 p.m. – 9400 block of Denni – Three year old male chasing ducks into the street. The caller is more concerned about the ducks going into the street than the child not being watched. Checks okay.

June 19, 2012

KEEP THE PEACE – 9:16 a.m. – 5200 block of Olga Ave. – Caller requesting same regarding family members of his estranged wife being at the location to the front of the residence. The caller wants to leave with some property but does not want to be confronted by them. The caller states they are upset over an earlier disturbance that occurred this morning between him and the estranged wife who is not even at the location right now. The incident will be a family disturbance – the wife is now at the location. The female said she is going to have the caller killed. The female has her girlfriend with her. The caller states the female might have marijuana. The caller is in the Army. He is home by himself and states he is moving out. He states the female elbowed him in the ribs but refuses medics and states he will be checked out later by the Army. Officers stood by with the caller to keep the peace while the caller collected his belongings. No report desired. The caller’s brother in law picked him up.
ASSIST OUTSIDE AGENCY – 11:03 p.m. – 10500 block of Beatrice - Female with a head injury. The husband said the female fell and hit her head but was acting suspicious and not answering questions. Both subjects had been drinking. The female subject fell while getting into bed and lacerated her head. She was transported to the hospital. The male subject remained home due to his intoxication level.

June 20, 2012

ASSIST OUTSIDE AGENCY – 10:00 a.m. – Juniper/Willow (La Palma) - Requesting assistance with a perimeter on Juniper Circle. Suspicious subjects een jumping the wall into backyards. Requesting two units. Subject split from police. Two subjects in custody. Both have been bitten by the K-9 from Station 26 (Anaheim). Assisted.
FRAUD REPORT – 3:37 p.m. – 4100 block of Elizabeth Ave. - The caller is a possible victim of a Craigslist scam. The caller received a check in the mail for more than the asking price due to an “error” with a request to send the balance back to the caller via Western Union. The caller attempted to send but Western Union rejected the transfer. No loss at this time. Counseled.

June 21, 2012

COUNSELING – 7:26 a.m. – 5900 block of Lincoln Ave. - Caller called on 911 regarding a verbal dispute with a clerk. The caller claims she gave the clerk $17.78 and the clerk is claiming the caller only gave her $7.78. Checks okay, no crime.
MALICIOUS MISCHIEF – 5:38 p.m. – 5200 block of Belle Ave. - The caller’s daughter observed three male subjects light a trash can on fire. The daughter has seen the subjects in the area before but does not know where they live. Negative on malicious mischief or trash can fire. Subjects placed fireworks in the empty trash can. No damage to the trash can and unable to locate the subjects.
