Despite documented dissatisfaction with Congress, Californians seem likely to send Democratic incumbents back to Washington.
It’s everybody else’s Congressional representative who is driving the country off a cliff.
According to the latest Senate rating by The Rothenberg Political Report, Senator Dianne Feinstein should have no trouble in November. Her position as the senior senator from California is among eleven rated “currently safe Democrat.” The other ten are Carper in Deleware, Cardin in Maryland, Klobuchar in Minnesota, Menendez in New Jersey, Gillibrand in New York, Casey in Pennsylvania, Whitehouse in Rhode Island, Sanders in Vermont and Manchin in West Virginia.
The Rothenberg Political Report also ranked California House races.
Republican incumbent Dan Lungren (CA-7) is rated as “pure toss-up.”
California Congressional District 41, a new open seat created by redistricting, is rated “toss-up/tilt Democratic.” This district includes Ontario, Riverside, Moreno Valley, Lake Matthews, Mead Valley and Perris.
