July 5, 2012

DISTURBANCE (Subjects) – 2:31 a.m. – 5800 block of Apia Dr. – An unknown disturbance going on in front of the caller’s residence. The caller can hear screaming and yelling and someone crashed against his front door. The doorbell is ringing now and someone is yelling for an ambulance. Subject is advising that he was hit on the head with a skateboard. The subject is bleeding profusely. Known suspect, the weapon was a skateboard and possibly steel toed boots. Male subject arrested for assault with a deadly weapon. The victim sustained several cranial lacerations and bruising.
ILLEGAL PEDDLER – 3:36 p.m. – 4700 block of Ariano Dr. – Subjects in a maroon truck trying to sell mulch. The caller states they are scamming residents, that they quote for a couple bags, do the work, and then say they used more and demand more money. Subjects will be leaving the area. Party advised and will comply.

TERRORIST THREATS – 5:27 p.m. – 5900 block of Suva - The caller was the victim of a scam. The subject contacted the caller via email and text messages stating they were going to kill her. Officer found no merit to terrorist threats. The caller was concerned about buying puppies online. Advice given.
STRAY ANIMAL – 6:54 p.m. – 9400 block of Fleetwood - The caller states she was followed by a German shepherd but as she passed this residence the dog walked up to an open garage and then lay down. The caller tried to make contact at the front door, but there was no answer. When she walked back to the front of the house, the garage door was closed. The owner of the dog in question returned home and took custody of the animal. The caller stated that the dog did not harm her or her dog, she just did not want it to run around and get lost. Matter solved.

July 7, 2012

EXTRA PATROL CHECK – 9:47 a.m. – 10000 block of Rodeo Ct. – The caller was advised by neighbors that yesterday at 10:30 a.m. an unknown male entered the caller’s rear yard and took two bags of aluminum cans. No report desired at this time, but requesting extra patrol checks in the area.
SUSPICIOUS OCCUPIED VEHICLE – 3:42 p.m. – 5500 block of Market Pl. - A white truck has been driving around the area, “creeping” through parking lots in the area. The subject has been in the area twice per the caller. Two males in the truck, possibly casing. The subjects were found to be a father teaching his son to drive.

July 8, 2012

WATER PROBLEM – 4:45 a.m. – 5800 block of Cerritos Ave. - Possibly a broken water main, a large amount of water coming from the sidewalk. Unit confirmed a water main break in front of the location. Incident referred to Golden State Water Company.
HAIL BY CITIZEN – 8:59 a.m. – Knott/Mt. Waterman - A worker broke the key off at the flood control channel and is unable to get out. Message delivered to Station 23 (Buena Park); they will page their Public Works and send someone. The officer was unable to unlock the gate. Assisted.

July 9, 2012

ASSIST OUTSIDE AGENCY – 12:10 a.m. – 5000 block of Cumberland Dr. - A two year old child allegedly got ahold of a cookie laced with marijuana and is being transported. The parents are with the child. The caller is at the location to check the welfare of the children that live in the residence. Incident handled by Child Protective Services.
SUSPICIOUS SUBJECT – 10:56 a.m. – 6900 block of Elm Ave. – A suspicious female was seen hopping over the caller’s neighbor’s backyard fence and going through boxes in front of the residence. The female took items and the caller made her put them back. The female was seen going house to house going through things. Unable to locate the subject. The caller was counseled.

July 10, 2012

DISTURBANCE (Family) – 11:44 a.m. – 6400 block of Dominica Ave. - The caller versus his grandson. The son is threatening to break windshields to ars and pop the tires. The caller thinks he might have knives. The disturbance was found to be verbal only.
PETTY THEFT REPORT – 11:40 p.m. – 4000 block of Ball Rd. - A female subject who keeps shoplifting items took cheese this time and is now sitting outside of the front door eating it. No prosecution desired. Subject advised regarding trespassing.

July 11, 2012

TRAFFIC COLLISION – 1:12 p.m. – 5700 block of Orange Ave. - Bike versus vehicle. A dog was possibly also involved. The caller now saying there was a dog that attacked the female on the bike. Medics dispatched. Station 91 assisted with medical aid. A disoriented woman fell from the bicycle. Unknown if the dog, which was gone on officer’s arrival, had anything to do with the incident. Female transported to the hospital.
COUNSELING – 1:21 p.m. – 10500 block of Ritter – Possible identity theft. Caller receiving calls from “Microsoft Computer Repair”. The subject has some personal data and was asking the caller for more information and to go on web sites. The caller was concerned about suspicious “hackers” call asking she log onto an unfamiliar website. Her research revealed the website relinquishes control of her personal computer and allows a third party to access her information. She did not fall prey to the scam. Counseled.
