The following information was released by Recreation and Community Services of the City of Los Alamitos.

Join the Los Alamitos Recreation & Community Services Department for our second Music & Movies event of the summer. Grab your inflatables, put on your bathing suits and enjoy the carefree atmosphere of the Bayou when Disney’s “The Princess & the Frog” is played at the Joint Forces Training Base pool on July 28th. Transformed into frogs by a sneaky magician, two New Orleans natives may find the cure has been right in front of them as they travel the Bayou in search of a way to break the spell. Rated G, this movie runs 97 minutes.

Live music will run from 6:30 to 7:45 with the movie to follow, beginning at dusk. From the comfort of the water, enjoy the melodic sound waves of Southern Californian Surf rock band, Aloha Radio. In a very short time, this Southern California based band has attracted the attention of music industry executives and producers, professional surfers, surfboard, and surf apparel companies. The City of Los Alamitos is excited and honored to welcome them to our Music & Movies event stage!

Bring your family and friends and enjoy a wonderful summer evening outdoors! In addition, each Music & Movies event will include free activities, raffles, and snacks for sale. Also coming up next is Music & Movies on August 11 th at Laurel Park, featuring “5 Star Band” and Disney’s Cars 2. For additional information, please visit www.cityoflosalamitos.org or contact the Los Alamitos Recreation & Community Services Department at (562) 430-1073.
