July 13, 2012

911 HANGUP – 11:40 a.m. – 10000 block of Sierra Cr. - A child on the phone stated everything is okay and that it was his brother that was causing a problem. A female on the phone got on and stated she was the mother and sounded out of breath. She stated it was a mistake and discontinued. The caller was somewhat upset on the phone with Dispatch calling back and stated everything was okay and no police were needed.
IDENTITY THEFT – 1:52 p.m. – 10000 block of Oak St. - An unknown subject used the caller’s social security number for ambulance service. Report taken.

July 14, 2012

PETTY THEFT REPORT – 12:48 p.m. – 10000 block of Bloomfield St. - The caller’s vehicle was towed from La Palma. During the time of transportation or storage, the caller states items were taken from his vehicle. The caller has contacted La Palma Police already and has filed a report about the missing items.
ABANDONED VEHICLE – 5:17 p.m. – 4000 block of Farquhar - A tan Lexus has been parked on the street for months. The vehicle was marked.

July 15, 2012

EXTRA PATROL CHECKS – 7:58 p.m. – 10000 block of Oak St. - A generator was left on the field after an event. The caller locked the gates, however it could still be stolen.
SUSPICIOUS CIRCUMSTANCES – 9:08 p.m. – 4600 block of Lampson Ave. - A male subject seen inside the storage container, and the caller smelled a strong chemical odor like turpentine. Checks okay.

July 16, 2012

DISTURBANCE (Subjects) – 1:34 p.m. – Enterprise/Green – Two subjects in a verbal disturbance, sitting in a vehicle on Green at Enterprise. The male subject was arrested for outstanding warrants. A drug-sniffing dog requested and the vehicle was impounded.
CITIZEN ASSIST – 10:20 p.m. – 12000 block of Paseo Bonita - The caller’s son landed in LAX at approximately 4:17 p.m. and was supposed to go home, but the caller hasn’t heard from his son since. The son’s wife is on vacation and can’t reach him as well. The caller requests a unit go by his residence and see if the subject is at the location. The residence was dark and secured, with no signs of anyone being at the location. Officers were unable to locate the subject. The caller called back to advise that the subject is okay. After his flight, he went to a hotel to use the free WiFi and then there was heavy traffic so he took a nap and waited it out but turned his phone off.

July 17, 2012

COUNSELING – 7:22 p.m. – 10000 block of Walnut St. - The caller requests the counseling of her son regarding smells of marijuana in his room. Both parties were counseled. The subject admitted to marijuana use. Upon officer’s request, he produced a container with a very small but usable quantity of hash. The container was taken for destruction.
ASSIST OUTSIDE AGENCY – 3:18 p.m. – 3500 block of Green Ave. – The caller requests assistance with a child abuse case regarding alcohol abuse by the mother. The caller is attempting to check on the subject’s two children, who are 1-2 years old. Assisted.

July 18, 2012

POLICE INFORMATION – 11:07 a.m. – 10900 block of Walnut St. - Collectors have been calling the reporting party from 2005 to the present, trying to contact a subject who does not live at the location. A log item was issued for the caller to follow up with the phone company.
PATROL CHECK – 4:26 p.m. – Katella/Winners – A green gas can and an aerosol can left on the center divider. The caller thinks it’s suspicious. Checks okay.

July 19, 2012

DISTURBANCE (Subjects) – 7:59 a.m. – 5000 block of Katella Ave. - The caller needs the police to escort a female ex employee. The female is upset over being fired and is currently in the caller’s office and refusing to leave. The subject returned keys to the caller and left the business. She was advised on a civil issue. Party advised and will comply.
COUNSELING – 3:10 p.m. – 10000 block of Pine St. - Counseling requested regarding the caller catching two juveniles swimming in her pool 40 minutes ago. The caller chased them out and followed them down the street.
