The following information was released by Keller Williams Realty.

Anyone happening upon the fifth annual KW Idol fundraiser at Mr. B’s Restaurant and Sports Lounge may get the first look at new faux American Idol judges including Mariah Carey.

“We were going to stay the course and go with the faux original judges Paula, Randy and Simon from past years,” said KW Idol chairperson Drake Cruz. “But we decided that since they just named a new replacement judge, that maybe we should offer a glimpse into this upcoming season of American Idol on our stage.”

KW Idol will take place Tuesday, September 25, starting at 6:30 p.m. at Mr. B’s in Los Alamitos. If past years are any indication, then an early arrival is suggested to get a decent seat since the place fills up fast.

“We had a tremendous turnout last year and people have been asking me when this year’s version will take place,” said Cruz. “The support was wonderful with agents from Irvine, Long Beach, Mission Viejo, KW South Bay and Los Al participating.”

“The competition is open to all real estate companies who want to try and dethrone KW Coastal Properties,” added Cruz.

“The competition has been great the first few years and last year our office (KW Los Alamitos) lost the title for the first time,” said Cruz. “KW Coastal Properties narrowly defeated our office so we are looking to regain the title.”

“In reality, the winner is Los Al Cares, our non-profit charity,” said Cruz. “The money raised goes back to help in the community and that is why we appreciate the support from the other real estate offices and our local community.

“Keller Williams Realty likes to be involved with the local community and work with charitable projects,” said Cruz. “KW Idol is just another way to raise funds to help in the local community.”

“I hope the community will show up and support the agents singing on stage,” added Cruz. “It’s a great cause and a great way for families to hang together and have a good time.”
