The following information was released by the campaign of Jay Sondhi for Cypress City Council.

Jay Sondhi held his Cypress City Council Kickoff event this last Friday, August 3, 2012, at his home in Cypress. Attendees included early supporters for his campaign bid for one of the two seats that are open in the 2012 Cypress City Council race.

Following a social hour and dinner, Sondhi spoke to the group about why he is running for a seat on the City Council. He has lived in Cypress for 26 years with his wife and raised his family here. Sondhi said “Cypress is a great city. We need to keep it that way as we find ways to make it better”. Sondhi also addressed the tough economic environment within which the country, state and local governments are functioning and Cypress’ challenges for the future. His noted strengths include his volunteer experiences, his honed professional skills in listening, as well as his legal, financial and applied statistical background.
