August 2, 2012

DISTURBANCE (Family) – 12:08 a.m. – 4100 block of Larwin Ave. - The caller was in a verbal disturbance with her granddaughter and was upset because the granddaughter had all the lights on in her room and there are electrical wires and lights all over the floor and the caller is not sure what she was doing in the room. Checks okay.
COUNSELING – 11:18 a.m. – 11200 block of Jamaica – Regarding the caller finding a dead rat on his lawn under a rock; the caller believes a neighbor put it there.

August 3, 2012

AUTO THEFT REPORT – 11:14 a.m. – Crescent/La Salle - A known subject stole the caller’s motorhome. The subject borrowed the keys to get something from the motorhome. The vehicle was located and the keys had been left on the tire. The caller did not want the “friend” arrested. No crime and no report desired. The caller has the motorhome back in his possession.
DISTURBANCE (Family) – 7:50 p.m. – 9600 block of Glenbrook – A female subject was holding glass in her hand and the caller was concerned that she is going to harm herself. The subject was extensively counseled; there was no suicide attempt or any threats. She was wanting attention and will be going to a youth shelter for the night.

August 4, 2012

WELFARE CHECK – 12:01 p.m. – 4900 block of Katella Ave. - In the parking lot, an ambulance was out with an elderly female whose husband left her in the vehicle while he went inside to watch the races. He was not due back until 3:00. Security was notified, and the female was reunited with her husband.
POLICE INFORMATION – 2:40 p.m. – 8700 block of La Salle – In the backyard of the location, the resident made numerous makeshift rooms in the backyard. There was also a secret door behind of rack of clothing. Per the caller, the resident was also growing marijuana from the rooms and wanted the caller to run electrical wiring to and from the rooms. Unable to locate the address.

August 5, 2012

BATTERY REPORT – 12:51 a.m. – 6400 block of Sonora Wy. - A friend of the family spit in the caller’s face. There was a disturbance between friends who had been drinking, and no prosecution was desired. The male subject was gone on the officer’s arrival. Counseled.
WELFARE CHECK – 11:23 p.m. – 5600 block of Lincoln Ave. - A subject staying at the location advised that she was unable to locate the attendant at the front desk and was concerned. There was no answer by phone, and the emergency contact advised there is supposed to be somebody there and they can’t reach him, either. The lobby was locked and all the lights were on. The attendant was found to be okay and was taking a nap.

August 6, 2012

DISTURBANCE – 3:42 p.m. – 5100 block of Laurel Ave. - A subject who was harassing the caller’s daughter was at the location at the front door. The subject had confronted the caller’s daughter with a gun twice before, but no gun was seen this day. The subjects knocking on the door were found to be family members of the male subject. They were advised regarding trespassing.
BOMB THREAT – 11:33 p.m. – 4900 block of Katella Ave. – The caller received a bomb threat by phone and evacuated the building. The subject on the phone said “There is a bomb inside your building.” The building was searched and nothing suspicious was located inside.
