WELFARE CHECK – 2:09 p.m. – 5000 block of Olympic Dr. - The caller’s younger brother uses meth and the subject had been on a bunge for the past week. The subject had been acting suspicious and locked his 80-year-old mother in the residence. The brother was gone on the arrival of the officers.
WELFARE CHECK – 2:33 p.m. – 3000 block of Thor Ave. - A welfare check was requested on a patient. The caller told him she was going to recommend the DMV re-evaluate him for his license. The subject stated “If they take my license away, I’ll shoot myself”. The family made comments that he actually does own guns. The subject has a little dementia. Checked okay.

DISTURBANCE (Family) – 9:55 p.m. – 10000 block of Walnut St. - There was a verbal disturbance over a divorce. A taser gun was in the closet but not involved. The caller stated her husband was destroying the house. Female subject arrested for corporal injury of a spouse.
WELFARE CHECK – 10:01 p.m. – Katella/Los Alamitos – A female subject was slumped over the wheel in a vehicle on Los Alamitos Blvd. Paramedics and a tow truck were dispatched. The driver and a small child were sent to the hospital. Female subject arrested for DUI.

COUNSELING – 4:08 a.m. – 10000 block of Walnut St. - The caller woke up and found her daughter had snuck a boy into the residence. The boy was only telling the caller that he is under 18. The daughter was not providing any information, either. The caller asked for the male half to call his mother and he advised that she was not available. The male juvenile was released to a parent.
WELFARE CHECK – 7:16 p.m. – 5300 block of Katella Ave. - A dog was locked in a vehicle for at least the prior 90 minutes. The dog was in distress when the caller first arrived 90 minutes prior and had no water. The incident was referred to Long Beach Animal Control Office.

SUSPICIOUS CIRCUMSTANCES – 2:50 a.m. – 3000 block of Katella Ave. - All doors were locked in the two-story building but there was water running in one of the rooms. The caller stated that no one should be in that room as the resident was in the hospital and that there had been signs of earlier attempts to get into the building. Earlier in the week, other employees believed that subjects may have made entry. Water was found to be running in the bathroom. The water was turned off and the apartment was secured.
DISTURBANCE (Subject) - A subject brought in by medics for an overdose left the ER and was last seen running outside. An employee was chasing him on the street behind the hospital. The male subject was last seen wearing boxers. The overdose was on heroin. Long Beach Fire Department at Cherry and Catalina with the subject requested police follow up. The subject was detained and returned to the hospital, where he was placed in restraints.

SUSPICIOUS PERSON – 4:16 a.m. – 12000 block of Vicksburg Cr. - A subject rang the caller’s doorbell and claimed to have the caller’s belongings. The caller lookedo ut the window and advised she saw her belongings on the porch. The items were in the trunk of the caller’s vehicle. The caller believed the subject left and was too afraid to open her door. Officers determined that there was petty theft from the unlocked vehicle. The caller stated a man at her door claimed that he interrupted an unknown subject from stealing things from her unlocked vehicle. The possible witness was gone on the arrival of the officer. No loss from two unlocked vehicles. No report was desired.
FOLLOW-UP INVESTIGATION – 2:10 p.m. – Katella/Siboney - Regarding an incident that occurred the previous day, the caller admitted that she took off after she hit the other vehicle but only because the other driver was much larger than she is and the caller was in fear. The caller claimed that the other party threatened to club the caller in the face.

DISTURBANCE (Subject) – 11:32 a.m. – 10000 block of Walnut St. - The caller’s roommate was harassing her over not paying rent. Counseled.
SUSPICIOUS CIRCUMSTANCES – 9:45 p.m. – 3900 block of Howard Ave. – The caller saw a foot hanging out of the trunk of a burgundy Cadillac in the alley. The officer located the vehicle and determined that the foot was a plastic decoy. Checked okay.

HARASSING CALL REPORT – 1:02 p.m. – 4000 block of Corporate Center Dr. - A subject kept calling the business and asking for an employee. When the reporting party and reception told the subject that the employee wasn’t at the location he became uncooperative. He kept calling and harassing the business. Report taken. The subject was contacted and was found to work for a collection agency. The subject was advised regarding harassing calls to the place of business and he agreed to stop calling there.
BATTERY REPORT – 11:27 p.m. – 5000 block of Katella Ave. - Two females were drunk and when the caller attempted to help, one of the female showed the caller her breasts and then kicked him in his private parts. Both females left in a vehicle. The caller did not desire prosecution. An unrelated witness verified his story. The caller was afraid that the female would attempt to report a battery with him at fault, and he wanted to notify the police first.
