Space Shuttle Endeavor over Exposition Park in Los Angeles

On its way to landing at Los Angeles International Airport, the Space Shuttle Endeavour, piggyback aboard a specially modified 747 and escorted by two chase jets, circled low and slow over its eventual new home at Exposition Park, just south of the University Park Campus of the University of Southern California.

The photo was taken from the roof of a USC building east of the 110 Freeway by a USC employee.

The building in the foreground is a hotel across Figueroa from the campus. In the background are University buildings on campus.
