THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN SAN DIEGO HAS ISSUED A HIGH WIND
WARNING…WHICH IS IN EFFECT FROM 8 PM THURSDAY TO 5 AM PDT
SATURDAY. THE HIGH WIND WATCH IS NO LONGER IN EFFECT.

* WINDS…NORTHEAST TO EAST WINDS 30 TO 40 MPH WITH GUSTS OF 55 TO
65 MPH. ISOLATED GUSTS IN EXCESS OF 65 MPH ARE POSSIBLE…MAINLY
BELOW THE CAJON PASS…AND IN THE FREMONT…MODJESKA…SANTIAGO
CANYONS IN THE SANTA ANA MOUNTAINS.

* TIMING…THURSDAY EVENING THROUGH LATE FRIDAY NIGHT.

* LOCATION…LOWER COASTAL SLOPES OF THE SAN BERNARDINO AND
RIVERSIDE COUNTY MOUNTAINS…BELOW THE CAJON AND BANNING
PASSES IN THE INLAND EMPIRE…SANTA ANA MOUNTAINS…ORANGE
COUNTY COASTAL PLAIN BELOW THE SANTA ANA MOUNTAINS AND CHINO
HILLS…AND NORTHERN COACHELLA VALLEY.

* VISIBILITY…LOCALLY 3 MILE OR LESS AT TIMES IN BLOWING DUST
AND SAND.

* IMPACTS…THE WINDS WILL MAKE DRIVING DIFFICULT…ESPECIALLY
FOR MOTORISTS WITH HIGH PROFILE VEHICLES. STRONG CROSS WINDS
WILL BE ESPECIALLY HAZARDOUS FOR HIGH PROFILE VEHICLES ALONG
EAST-WEST HIGHWAYS BELOW THE CAJON PASS AND THROUGH THE
NORTHERN COACHELLA VALLEY AND NORTH-SOUTH HIGHWAYS THROUGH
ORANGE COUNTY. WATCH FOR BROKEN TREE LIMBS AND POWER LINES.
WINDS OF THIS STRENGTH MAY CAUSE MINOR PROPERTY DAMAGE.

* OUTLOOK…WINDS WILL WEAKEN BELOW WARNING STRENGTH BY LATE
SATURDAY MORNING.

* RELATIVE HUMIDITY…LOWEST DAYTIME 5 TO 13 PERCENT WITH POOR
OVERNIGHT RECOVERY.

* TIMING…8 PM PDT THURSDAY THROUGH 2 PM PDT SATURDAY.

* OUTLOOK…WINDS WILL BEGIN TO DECREASE EARLY SATURDAY AFTERNOON.
VERY LOW HUMIDITY WILL CONTINUE INTO SUNDAY.

A RED FLAG WARNING MEANS THAT CRITICAL FIRE WEATHER CONDITIONS
ARE EITHER OCCURRING NOW…OR WILL SHORTLY. A COMBINATION OF
