The following information was released by Friday Night Lights Football.

The largest ONE NIGHT, ONE LOCATION youth football event in the United States will take place on Friday, December 7th, 2012 @ Oak Middle School in Los Alamitos, CA 90720. This event is the opening night of the Fall Season Playoffs for the Los Alamitos-Seal Beach Friday Night Lights Youth Flag Football League.

Here are the record setting numbers:

  • 1,452 Players in Grades 1st – 8th will be competing on Friday, 12/7
  • 182 Teams looking to get thru the 1st Full Friday of Playoffs
  • 132 Games will be played on just THIS FRIDAY – 12/7 @ Oak Middle School
  • 134 Teams will be eliminated by 1030pm!
  • 14 games being played starting at 400pm….fields turning over every 30, 40, or 50 minutes with the last 14 games starting at 930pm!

Friday Night Lights Youth Flag Football is the largest Youth Flag Football league in the Western United States. The league was started in 2006 by Mark Broersma and Chris Ketcham. The league now has 11,000 players participating in 7 different leagues throughout Southern California.

This Friday marks a significant milestone in youth sports…….with this many kids participating from one league in one location.
