Michael Firestone as Michael Jackson, Moonwalker, Cerritos Center for the Performing Arts

The following information was released by Cerritos Center for the Performing Arts.

Jam with the King of Pop when Moonwalker: THE Reflection of Michael comes to the Cerritos Center for the Performing Arts on Friday, Jan. 18 at 8 p.m. The tribute show features Michael Firestone as the late icon Michael Jackson. Tickets for the concert, priced from $65-$30, are available at the CCPA Ticket Office or www.cerritoscenter.com or by calling 562-467-8818.

Inspired by the late superstar Michael Jackson, Moonwalker: THE Reflection of Michael takes audiences on a thrilling musical journey into the King of Pop’s genius in a rousing production showcasing a live band, singers, and dancers. As the musical icon, internationally acclaimed impersonator Michael Firestone brings to life Jackson’s persona, reviving the legend’s look, voice, and unforgettable dance moves. The tribute features costume changes and performances of Jackson’s greatest hits, including Thriller, Billie Jean, Beat It, Rock With You, The Way You Make Me Feel, and Man in the Mirror. The presentation was named “Best Produced Show of 2011” with a Reel Award (the tribute industry’s equivalent of an Oscar).

Recognized by Guinness World Records as the most successful entertainer of all time, the late Jackson was celebrated and embraced globally for his contribution to music, dance, and fashion. He debuted in show business as the youngest and most popular member of the group The Jackson 5 and went on to grip the world with his showmanship and hits, including Don’t Stop ‘Til You Get Enough, Bad, Wanna Be Startin’ Somethin’, and Black or White. Thirteen of his solo songs landed on the No. One spot – the most by a male singer – making Jackson one of the most enduring dominant forces in the entertainment industry.

Prior to Jackson’s death, Firestone portrayed the superstar to much acclaim in live shows, including MTV Magic and Around the World in Asia. Since the Pop icon’s passing, Firestone has become one of the most sought-after Jackson tribute performers, hailed by fans and critics as the heir apparent to the King of Pop in look, performance, and authenticity. Firestone has sold out showrooms nationwide as Jackson, sometimes performing with the icon’s long-time touring guitarist and featured backup vocalist.

For tickets to Moonwalker: THE Reflection of Michael, contact the CCPA Ticket Office, call 562-467-8818, or visit www.cerritoscenter.com.
