The following statement was issued by the office of Orange County Third District Supervisor Todd Spitzer.

Supervisor Todd Spitzer gave the following statement following the tragic shootings in Orange County this morning. Spitzer represents the third supervisorial district, which includes the cities of Tustin, Orange and Villa Park.

“This morning’s horrific shootings are devastating to Orange County and the people of my district,” said Supervisor Spitzer. “My heart goes out to the families of the victims and to those who were wounded. I pray for healing for our community as we honor the victims in the coming days.”

Spitzer also praised Orange County law enforcement, who for the second time this month have faced a deadly shooter.

“Our men and women of law enforcement put their lives at risk every day to keep us safe,” Spitzer said. “I’m so proud of our city and county law enforcement, and I have the utmost confidence in them as they work to complete today’s investigation.”
