The following information was released by the Cypress Chamber of Commerce.
Orange County Sheriff Sandra Hutchens will be the keynote speaker at the upcoming Cypress Chamber of Commerce 27th annual Student & Business Breakfast Thursday (March 21) at the Cypress Community Center at 7:15 a.m.
The breakfast, presented by Bandai America Incorporated, features high school juniors from Cypress High School and Oxford Academy and members of the business community as they discuss the pros and cons of a particular industry. More than 3,900 students have attended the breakfasts over the years.
Sheriff Hutchens was sworn in as the 12th elected Sheriff-Coroner for Orange County in December 2010. She began her law enforcement career with the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department in 1976. With more than 35 years of service in law enforcement, she possesses invaluable experience in nearly every facet of law enforcement.
The Chamber is looking for mentors who would like to be a part of this popular event and talk to students over breakfast for about an hour. There is no charge for mentors, although anyone can be an Educational Sponsor for $15, which helps offset the cost for the program. Call the Chamber office (714-827-2430) for additional details.
McDonald’s of Cypress is serving the breakfast while Crystal Geyser Water Company is donating beverages.
