The following information was released by the Cypress Area Chamber of Commerce.

Brian Lochrie, from the Orange County Stormwater Program, will be the guest speaker at the Chamber of Commerce Networking Breakfast March 12 at the Residence Inn by Marriott (4931 Katella Avenue, Los Alamitos) at 7:30 a.m.

Lochrie has been a communications consultant with the Orange County Stormwater Program for the past 10 years.  The water pollution prevention program is administered by the County of Orange in partnership with all 34 Orange County cities.

The goal of the program is to educate the public about water pollution prevention through community outreach.  Lochrie will focus his remarks on tips for keeping waterways and beaches clean, which is important to tourism and economic growth in Orange County.

Reservations are required and can be made though the Cypress Chamber of Commerce at 714-827-2430. Cost of the breakfast is $20 in advance or $25 at the door. Attendees are encouraged to bring door prizes to promote their product or service. The programs include a meet and greet time, self introductions, breakfast, speaker and a question and answer session.
