The residential structure at 3601 Green Ave. in Los Alamitos appears to be undergoing remodeling — but the front lawn has been allowed to go to seed while work is in progress.
This is the second construction project on Green Ave. In the next block east, a house was flattened and rebuilt.
On the south side of Green Ave., across from the current project, an apartment building has been rehabbed after a fire on the second floor.
Meanwhile, work continues on a cell tower atop the stairway enclosure in the commercial building housing Nevin’s Donuts and Great Dane Baking Company on Los Alamitos Blvd., just a block south.
And Play It Again, Sports, continues its effort to finish tenant improvements on its new space on Katella Ave. east of Los Alamitos Blvd.
Los Alamitos Unified School District recently celebrated breaking ground for a new all-weather track.
Finally, the Olson Company has the petal to the metal constructing new homes for its Sausalito Walk project, at the elbow where Sausalito meets Oak, next to the original campus of Cottonwood Church and Royal Oak Mobile Park on the western edge of town.
(The last time we checked, construction had not yet begun at Coyote Creek Park behind Oak Middle School, despite a lengthy time since its official groundbreaking.)
The grass has gone to see while the structure behind it is remodeled at 3601 Green Ave. in Los Alamitos.
