Video of JFTB-based California National Guard helping to fight Rim Fire near Yosemite

The following information was released through the Defense Video and Information Distribution System.

Below is video from the helibase at Columbia, California, to the action around Yosemite National Park to the UH-60 Black Hawks from the California Army National Guard’s 1-140th Aviation Battalion (Air Assault), based out of Los Alamitos, and the HH-60 Pave Hawks from the California Air National Guard’s 129th Rescue Wing, drop water from Bambi buckets on the Rim Fire in the Stanislaus National Forest near Yosemite, Aug. 21, 2013.

The aircraft is piloted by Chief Warrant Officer Four Rob Metoyer, co-pilot Chief Warrant Officer Two Mike Marion, and crew chief, Spc. Gregory Davis, with Cal Fire Military Helicopter Manager, Battalion Chief Scott Watson and Capt. Brad Loven calling the drops.
