Please join me in congratulating Dr. Joshua Arnold, our new Assistant Superintendent of Educational Services!
Josh has been a principal for five years and an assistant principal for two years and brings a wealth of knowledge and innovation with him to this new role. His main hobby is researching teaching and learning, he loves working with students and staff, and he provides strength and diversity to the District Cabinet.
He received his BA from UCLA, his MA from Harvard, and his Ed.D. from USC and is committed to life-long learning. Most recently, he attended the Design Thinking Institute at Stanford over the summer and is an invited member to the College Board’s English Language Arts National Development Committee.
Josh is married to Claire, has two children, Isabella and Anthony, and lives in Huntington Beach.
Dr. Arnold will assume this new role January 1 when Dr. Johnson leaves to be the Superintendent in Fountain Valley. The main priority during this transition will be LAHS. We will be posting the LAHS Principal opening by the end of the week, and it will close January 23.
We will find the right person for this position, and depending on when he/she can start, we will create a transition plan. Stay tuned!
Congratulations, Dr. Arnold!
