Join Save Our Beach to help out during Seal Beach National Wildlife Refuge Clean-up Day on Saturday, Oct. 8, 2016 aboard the Naval Weapons Station.
Save Our Beach is assisting the Seal Beach National Wildlife Refuge at the Seal Beach Naval Weapons Station on the Refuge Clean-up Day, Saturday, October 8, 2016 from 8:30 a.m. to 12 p.m.
Very strict guidelines are set in place to enter onto the Seal Beach Naval Weapons Station, so please read through the following information very carefully.
No exceptions will be made.
Sign-ups are required no later than Oct. 5 by calling 562-598-1024. Required registration info: full name, phone number, date of birth, zip code
Directions to Seal Beach NWR and Naval Weapons Station – Westminster Gate
- From the 405 (north or southbound), exit Seal Beach Blvd. Turn south. Turn left (east) on Westminster Blvd. Make immediate right into the base.
- From PCH (Hwy 1), turn north on Seal Beach Blvd. Proceed to Westminster Blvd. and turn right (east). Make immediate right into the base.
- NOTE: Drivers required to have current license, registration, and insurance. All adults must have government-issued photo ID.
Bring: water bottles (water provided), gloves, hat, sunscreen, closed toe footwear you don’t mind getting muddy, signed volunteer agreement (Required, found here): www.fws.gov/refuge/Seal_Beach/what_we_do/get_involved.html
Leave at home: tools (provided), weapons, knives, cameras.
