April 11, 2017
Health & Safety Violation – 6:53 a.m. – 11100 block of Knott Ave. – The caller reportedly found 40-50 pounds or more of marijuana in black bags. Police determined it was clippings and trash.
Pedestrian Check – 9:55 p.m. – 6000 block of Lincoln Ave. – Police contacted a pedestrian check on a subject, who was subsequently arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a controlled substance.

Suspicious Occupied Vehicle – 9:57 a.m. – Carob/Opal – A subject was reportedly driving slowly back and forth in the area for at least the past hour. The subject was also playing loud music, and the caller thought the subject was possibly casing. The caller claimed that the subject as the day before but in a different vehicle.
Disturbance (Family) – 6:19 p.m. – Lincoln/Moody – A disturbance was reported with swinging golf clubs and kicking. There was someone trying to break it up. Three subjects were detained. One field interview was conducted, and one subject was arrested.

Suspicious Circumstances – 12:43 a.m. – Heather Wy. – A white Escalade was reportedly in the area driving slowly through the alley and then a male wearing boxers running and got into the vehicle. Counseled.
Illegally Parked Vehicle – 7:30 p.m. – Dina Ct. – The caller reported a constant problem with a U-Haul van parked too far from the curb. Citation issued.

Hazard – 7:16 a.m. – 5400 block of Bishop – A wire was reportedly hanging from a telephone pole onto the sidewalk. Incident referred to Southern California Edison.
Burglary Report – 8:05 a.m. – 5000 block of Lincoln Ave. – Doors were reportedly opened, locks damaged, and a burglary to a vacuum machine. It was determined that there was vandalism to three vacuum machines and the loss of change from one machine. The damage to fix machines estimated to be $3000. No suspect information. Report taken.

Illegally Parked Vehicles – 8:37 a.m. – 6000 block of Lincoln Ave. – Eight vehicles were reportedly parked in the fire lane/no parking zone. Police cited seven vehicles for parking in the fire zone.
Suspicious Subject – 12:27 p.m. – 6800 block of Katella Ave. – A male subject was reportedly riding an electric cart in the store and drinking vodka off the shelves. Police were unable to locate the subject.
April 16, 2017
Traffic Collision – 12:41 a.m. – Valley View/Katella – Three vehicles, a truck and two sedans, were reportedly involved in a traffic collision at the intersection. Paramedics were requested. A female subject was pinned inside a vehicle and was not responding. The streets were shut down, and the STAR team was called out for the accident investigation. A SigAlert was issued for all four directions until further notice. One fatality was confirmed. Public Works was requested to respond with equipment to shut down the intersection. OCTA was notified regarding the closed intersection. A blood tech was requested. Three flatbed tow trucks were requested. Barricades were removed and traffic allowed to flow again at 7:07 a.m. Traffic Signal Maintenance was requested to reset the signal. One subject arrested for vehicular manslaughter.
Keep the Peace – 3:17 p.m. – 6400 block of Orange Ave. – The caller requested assistance with a neighbor, stating that his neighbor refuses to move his vehicle up a bit so the caller can park on the street, too. Counseled.
