We would like to apologize to subscribers of our Daily Overnight News Summary (DONS).
Due to technical difficulty experienced by out internet service provider with its email service, delivery of Wednesday morning’s DONS was interrupted about two-thirds of the way through the subscription list.
Although the ISP’s techie gnomes worked hard to restore service, the interruption continued through the beginning of the delivery of Thursday morning’s DONS.
Once the ISP’s technie gnomes declared victory, we had to jumpstart the deliveries — the “delivery engine” appeared hopelessly confused. It sat there dithering even after the ISP enterprise email service was restarted.
So we first tried simply rebooting. No love.
Then we crossed our fingers, scrinched our eyes shut, and power-cycled the hardware.
As they say on the Klingon home world: Qapla’!
