Sunday, September 10th marked the opening of the 14th school year for Hebrew High, run by Chabad Los Alamitos. Students from Los Alamitos, Long Beach, Huntington Beach and the surrounding area earn high school language credits for their studies at Hebrew High. Along with Hebrew, students gain important history, culture and sociology knowledge, with a pinch of cultural cuisine and cooking.
This year, students welcomed Jessica Payne as the new Hebrew High Administrator. Her children attended Hebrew High, and throughout the years, she has assisted with events that help support scholarships and activities at Hebrew High. Payne has been an educator in a variety of positions in California and New York. She is happy to add to the excellent Hebrew High educators and reminds local students that there is still time to add language credits to their transcripts by attending Hebrew High.
Hebrew High credits are awarded in conjunction with Hebrew Academy in Huntington Beach.
