September 1, 2017
Stolen Vehicle – 9:23 a.m. – Moody/Crescent – Police attempted to stop a stolen vehicle driven by a known suspect. The vehicle yielded and the driver detained at gunpoint at the end of the cul de sac on Los Palos. The subject was arrested for parole violation, possession of a stolen vehicle, evading a peace officer, unlawful taking/driving of a vehicle, and burglary. The vehicle was driven to the victim’s residence. There was damage to the vehicle, but it was unknown if the damage was fresh.
Transport – 1:37 p.m. – 91 Fwy./5 Fwy. (Anaheim) – While transporting an arrestee, the subject got out of the seat belt and was attempting to break out a window. The subject urinated all over the vehicle. Multiple police agencies responded to the incident, including a helicopter. The subject was secured in a hobble restraint and transported to Orange County Jail.
September 2, 2017
Traffic Hazard – 12:47 p.m. – Amberwood/Regency – A trailer not attached to a vehicle was reportedly parked in the middle of the street. Police contacted the resident, who would move the trailer, as the owner was unable to move it. The owner was en route to fix the trailer.
Police Information – 9:28 p.m. – Moody/Edison Right-of-Way – A balloon was reportedly stuck in the power lines. Incident handled by Southern California Edison.
September 3, 2017
Grand Theft Report – 11:55 a.m. – Centerpointe – The third seat was reportedly stolen from a Chevy Suburban. The loss was valued at $1100 for the seat and damage to the window.
Disturbance (Noise) – 9:09 p.m. – 7900 block of Walker St. – The caller reported a truck unloading propane tanks on the north side of the loading dock at the location. Party advised and will comply that they are not allowed to unload on Sundays.
September 4, 2017
Petty Theft Report – 10:59 a.m. – 8100 block of Somerdale Ln. – A known suspect reportedly stole money from the caller and the caller’s father overnight at the location.
Illegal Peddling – 8:47 p.m. – 5400 block of Orangethorpe Ave. – A female subject was reportedly asking for money in front of the business. The subject checked okay and was raising money for a soccer team.
September 5, 2017
Disturbance (Subject) – 12:39 p.m. – 5900 block of La Palma Ave. – A customer was reportedly refusing to leave. There was a female customer there as well. The caller stated that customers were cussing at her and pounding on the counter and calling her a liar. It was determined that there was an argument between two customers and an employee over a customer service issue. No crime.
Fraud – 12:56 p.m. – 8100 block of Walker St. – A day laborer reportedly stole a check and cashed it for $800. Report taken.
September 6, 2017
Hit and Run – 1:23 p.m. – 5400 block of La Palma Ave. – A hit and run possibly occurred three nights previously at approximately 1:30 a.m. A vendor making deliveries hit the caller’s shared wall with the business. The business advised that they had video surveillance. There was damage to the brick wall. Civil issue only. Party advised and will comply.
Brandishing a Weapon – 2:43 p.m. – 8200 block of Walker St. – A student reportedly pulled a knife on another student. The suspect was no longer at the location and police were unable to locate the subject. Report taken.
September 7, 2017
Traffic Collision – 7:29 a.m. – La Palma/Denni (Cerritos) – Three vehicles were reportedly involved in a traffic collision. Medics were declined. Incident referred to the Cerritos Office of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
Disturbance (Subject) – 9:20 a.m. – 5000 block of Malaga Dr. – Two City wall painters were reportedly arguing with each other. Police determined that the incident was unfounded. Two family members were painting but couldn’t hear each other due to the paint machine.
