Suspicious Subject – 5:21 a.m. – 3600 block of Katella Ave. – A subject was reportedly seen climbing a building on Katella. It was determined that subjects were hired to paint the building. Checked okay.
Disturbance (Subjects) – 8:52 p.m. – 4000 block of Howard Ave. – The caller reported a disturbance involving the caller, the caller’s ex-husband, and the caller’s new boyfriend. One male subject detained and subsequently arrested for resisting arrest, child endangerment, and possible additional charges.

Counseling – 9:04 a.m. – 10000 block of Walnut St. – The caller was upset that their neighbors dumped trash into the caller’s bins while they were moving. The other party agreed to remove items from the dumpster and would throw them away elsewhere. The subject was currently moving his mother, which was why he was throwing away large items. Counseled.
Counseling – 11:09 a.m. – 10000 block of Walnut St. – The subject reportedly kept throwing his trash in her bins and other neighbors’ trash cans, and the caller wanted him fined. Both parties were counseled about where to throw away trash.

Vehicle Fire – 8:11 a.m. – Civic Center/Katella – A propane truck was reportedly on fire. The driver jumped out. The CHP was requested to shut down the 605 northbound at Katella. OCFA determined that the engine was only smoking and there was no fire. Lanes were opened and the SigAlert canceled. A tow company was requested to clean up radiator fluid. The roadway was cleared by 8:49 a.m.
Patrol Check – 7:44 p.m. – Katella/Bloomfield – The caller stated that a tow truck driver was racing down the street and almost hit her and was driving erratically. The caller was advised to contact the business and speak with a supervisor for a citizen complaint. The vehicle was gone on the arrival of police.

Vehicle Burglary – 11:58 a.m. – 10600 block of Los Alamitos Blvd. – An unknown suspect reportedly smashed the rear window of an employee’s vehicle and took a purse, computer, and fuzzy pink computer case. Report taken.
Vehicle Burglary – 1:40 p.m. – 10700 block of Los Alamitos Blvd. – An unknown suspect reportedly smashed the driver’s side window and took a gym bag from the caller’s vehicle. Report taken.

Pedestrian Check – 12:00 a.m. – 3500 block of Cerritos Ave. – Police contacted two subjects near the front of the location. The officer observed one subject attempting to throw a plastic water bottle on to the roof of a building, approximately 30 feet high. Due to his lack of physical strength, he was unable to accomplish this. The subject stated that he took his friend to see his “old high school.” Both subjects were advised regarding trespassing and would be leaving the area.
Traffic Hazard – 4:17 p.m. – Norwalk/Wardlow (Long Beach) – A large tree branch was reportedly causing a traffic hazard in the road. Incident referred to the Long Beach Police Department, which was found to already have the information and Long Beach Public Works en route.
