October 20, 2017
Traffic Stop – 7:43 p.m. – Valley View/Patton (Buena Park) – Police conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle with paper plates. One subject was detained and subsequently arrested on a felony bench warrant.
Suspicious Subject – 8:52 p.m. – 7000 block of Moody St. – A male subject was reportedly hitting windows, kicking doors, and yelling. Police were unable to locate the subject.
October 21, 2017
Traffic Stop – 9:39 a.m. – Valley View/La Palma – Following a traffic stop, a male subject was arrested on outstanding warrants and possession of controlled substances. The vehicle was released to a valid driver, and the subject released on cite.
Pedestrian Check – 3:22 p.m. – Los Palos Cir. (Buena Park) – Police conducted a pedestrian check and detained one subject, who was then arrested on a misdemeanor bench warrant.
Disturbance (Subject) – 4:46 p.m. – Centerpointe Dr. –A male subject in a hospital gown was reportedly trying to get in the building and hit the door. The subject was transported to the hospital by ambulance.
October 22, 2017
Suspicious Occupied Vehicle – 9:03 a.m. – 8000 block of Woodglen Cir. – A silver Ford pickup had reportedly been at the location for approximately 20 minutes, and the driver was staring at the residence. Police made contact and conducted a vehicle search. Cypress Police Department dispatched a Spanish translator to assist.
Burglary Report – 1:09 p.m. – 5000 block of La Luna Dr. – The caller reported a possible loss from the bedroom with entry possibly made through the back door. Police cleared the interior of the residence. The loss was $500 in antique coins.
October 23, 2017
Broken Vehicle – 1:41 p.m. – Moody/La Palma – Police assisted a citizen with a broken vehicle. The vehicle was removed from the roadway.
Injured Animal – 8:13 p.m. – Moody/Crescent – An injured dog was reportedly in the intersection of Moody and Crescent with possible broken back legs. The dog was conscious and attempting to move off the roadway. SEAACA advised. The dog was released to its owner.
October 24, 2017
Stray Animal – 7:45 a.m. – Moody/La Palma – Three large dogs were reportedly loose. Police located the dogs at Moody/La Luna eastbound. All three dogs were detained and taken to the station, where they were turned over to SEAACA.
Petty Theft – 10:10 p.m. – 5400 block of Orangethorpe Ave. – The caller reported a beer run that had just occurred. The loss was valued at $15. Police were unable to locate the subject on an area check.
October 25, 2017
Transient – 9:32 p.m. – 7900 block of Walker St. – A female advised that a female transient was bothering her. The subject walked away but was hanging around all day according to the reporting party. Police were unable to locate the subject.
Public Works Information – 11:01 p.m. – Moody/La Palma – A possible broken fire hydrant was reported on the south side of La Palma between Denni and Moody. Police were unable to locate a broken fire hydrant in the area.
October 26, 2017
Disturbance (Subject) – 5:01 p.m. – Centerpointe – The caller’s father was reportedly being combative. Police made contact. The subject was in the vehicle, and the son would take care of his father.
Disturbance (Subject) – 5:48 p.m. – 5400 block of La Palma Ave. – A female subject was reportedly harassing customers in the parking lot. Police contacted the subject and conducted a search. Party advised and will comply.
