The City of Buena Park’s Fine Arts Division is proud to announce our current exhibition in City Hall featuring the work of Marco Pinter and Stuart Fingerhut. While working in different media, both artists explore form and movement through a minimalist aesthetic.
Marco Pinter holds a PhD in Media Arts and Technology from UC Santa Barbra and has exhibited his work in cities across the world. In the series on view in Buena Park, he utilizes thermal cameras to capture moving bodies, translating the ephemeral gestures into layered imagery on a variety of surfaces.
Stuart Fingerhut holds a BS in Environmental Design and explores the intersection of art, science, and nature by creating objects that use formal relationships to engage the viewer. In his work on display in Buena Park, laser-cut sheets of metalized acrylic are assembled onto geometric grounds. The spiraling shapes create a sense of movement in the viewer’s gaze as the shapes tumble out from the wall.
This exhibition will be on view November 7, 2017 through January 5, 2018 in the City Council Chamber at Buena Park City Hall, 6650 Beach Blvd, Buena Park, CA 90622. City Hall is open Monday-Thursday, 7:30 am to 5:30 pm and alternating Fridays. Please call the Fine Arts Division at (714) 562-3868 to confirm viewing availability before planning your visit.
