November 3, 2017
Suspicious Circumstances – 12:27 p.m. – 7400 block of Darlene Cir. – The homeowner could reportedly smell something suspicious and the wife had been experiencing headaches. The residence checked okay. There was no gas leak. There was possibly an animal inside or around the house, possibly a skunk.
Harassing Phone Calls – 2:49 p.m. – 5300 block of Pembury Dr. – The caller had reportedly received scam IRS phone calls. No crime.
November 4, 2017
Disturbance (noise) – 6:13 a.m. – 5400 block of La Palma Ave. – A delivery truck at the dock was reportedly disturbing residents on DeVries. The driver moved the truck. Party advised and will comply.
Suspicious Subject – 7:20 p.m. – 5400 block of La Palma Ave. – A male subject was reportedly possibly stealing pallets from behind the business. Party advised and will comply.
November 5, 2017
Traffic Stop – 7:55 a.m. – Knott/Orangethorpe – A vehicle refused to stop and police engaged in a pursuit with speeds surpassing 100 mph. Units from other agencies responded to assist. The vehicle stopped and police conducted a high-risk traffic stop at Orangethorpe and Euclid. The subject was not cooperative and refused to exit the vehicle. A helicopter responded to assist. Officers removed the non-compliant subject from the vehicle and took him into custody. The vehicle was impounded and the subject transported to Orange County Jail.
Pedestrian Check – 1:10 p.m. – 7000 block of Moody St. – Police contacted two subjects. One subject arrested on three outstanding warrants and booked into Orange County Jail.
November 6, 2017
Suspicious Vehicle – 8:59 a.m. – 4900 block of Berton Cir. – The caller reported a vehicle parked on the street from Nov. 3 at 6 a.m. until Nov. 6 at 9 a.m. The caller stated that the vehicle did not belong to a neighbor. The vehicle checked okay and was marked for 72 hours.
Counseling – 5:44 p.m. – 7700 block of Furman Rd. – The caller’s daughter was reportedly having bully issues with a classmate. The classmate hit the daughter on the head on the afternoon of Oct. 31.

Illegal Peddling – 6:36 p.m. – 5100 block of La Palma Ave. – A suspicious male subject reportedly came to the caller’s door. The caller answered from inside, and then he said, “Okay, goodbye.” Police were unable to locate the subject on area check. The police viewed the caller’s security camera video and the solicitor appeared to check at that time.
Unknown Trouble – 7:10 p.m. – 13300 block of South St. (Cerritos) – There Spanish-speaking caller reported an unknown problem. According to a translator, there was a disturbance between a male subject and a female subject. Police contacted the subjects and determined taht there was some sort of altercation between the two, who were husband and wife. Incident handled by Cerritos LASO.

Welfare Check – 3:22 p.m. – La Palma/Walker – The caller requested a welfare check on a female subject sleeping on a bus bench. Police contacted the female, who did not require assistance and refused help and further contact.
Extra Patrol Checks – 7:33 p.m. – 5300 block of Andrew Dr. – A female subject driving an SUV had reportedly parked in the middle of the street. The caller observed the subject taking pictures of the caller’s open garage and residence. The subject then left the area. No report desired.

Suspicious Subject – 1:37 p.m. – Maroon/Denni (Cerritos) – A male subject was reportedly looking into vehicles. Police contacted one male subject, who was subsequently arrested for theft of lost property.
Vandalism Report – 6:05 p.m. – 4700 block of Windson Ave. – The reporting party advised that unknown subjects let the air of of tires to two vehicles. No report desired. Extra patrol checks requested.
